TennaCAGE Installation

How to install the TennaCAGE (#BEW-MSTC-PA) or TennaCAGE 2.0.

TennaCAGE is sized for use with TennaMINI Solar, TennaMINI Battery or TennaBLE Beacon.

TennaCAGE 2.0 is sized for use with TennaMINI 2.0 Plug-In Solar.

Permission Requirements: The TennaCAGE should only be installed by a qualified mechanic or welder.

Safety Information

WARNING

  • Follow established safety precautions for operating and servicing the equipment on which you are installing this Tenna product.
  • Do not mount any devices or run any cabling which may interfere with an asset's safety guards or shields.

CAUTION

  • Re-tighten any screws loosened during installation.
  • Replace any safety devices removed during installation.

Tools and Materials Required

Materials for your chosen mounting method (bolt mounting or welding) as listed below:

For bolt mounting:

  • (2) Enclosed Grade 5 bolts, 5/16" diameter (for TennaCAGE)
  • or (2) enclosed Grade 5 bolts, 7/16" diameter (for TennaCAGE 2.0)
  • (2) Enclosed Nyloc nuts
  • (2) Enclosed split washers
  • Wrench
  • 3/8" drill bit (or preferred size for 5/16" diameter) (for TennaCAGE)
  • or 15/32" drill bit (or preferred size for 7/16" diameter) (for TennaCAGE 2.0)
  • Grease pencil or other tool to mark drill hole locations

For welding:

  • Welding torch and safety equipment
  • Angle grinder or other sanding equipment
  • Welding magnets

NOTE: Tools required are dependent upon the chosen mounting option. Factors, such as whether the asset is owned or rented, may influence your choice of mounting option.

Hardware Included

  • TennaCAGE (10.75” L x 4.25” W x 2.25” H)
  • or TennaCAGE 2.0 (12.9” L x 5.9” W x 2.85” H)
  • (2 each) Bolts, nuts, washers

Installation Instructions

For Bolt Mounting

  1. Line up the TennaCAGE over your tracker.
  2. Mark the bolt hole locations on each side of the TennaCAGE with a grease pencil.
  3. Remove the TennaCAGE and drill on the marked locations using a 3/8" drill bit or your preferred size for a 5/16" bolt.
  4. Attach the TennaCAGE over the tracker using the enclosed bolts, nuts, and washers.

Important! Ensure that the back side of the mounting location provides adequate clearance. Be careful not to drive screws into coolant lines, radiators, electrical wiring, fluid tanks, or moving components.

For Welding

  1. Line up the TennaCAGE over your tracker.
  2. Trace around the TennaCAGE to mark the location where it will be attached.
  3. Using an angle grinder or other sanding tool, buff the area on the asset where the TennaCAGE will be located to remove paint and uneven surfaces.
  4. Using the same sanding tool, remove the zinc gray protective coating from the bolt holds on each side of the TennaCAGE.
  5. Align the TennaCAGE on the markings and hold in place with welding magnets.
  6. Weld the TennaCAGE to the asset.
