Release Notes: December 16, 2022

Our December 16, 2022 release is the last for this year and includes a number of improvements and enhancements, many requested by customers as we work to continually make Tenna the most effective platform for construction equipment and fleet management needs. Here's what's new!

But first: refresh your browser and update your mobile app! Make sure you're seeing the latest and greatest from Tenna.

Mobile Biometrics: Easier Logins

Tenna App now supports face/touch ID for easier login. Toggle the function on when you login and manage your settings in your User Profile moving forward.

Please note that the user's phone must be capable of using face/touch ID and the latest version of Tenna App for Android or iOS must be downloaded.

Alerts for Motion Pings on Powered-Off Assets

In the coming weeks we will be rolling out hardware updates to TennaMINI Plug-In and Solar trackers that will allow for immediate alerts when motion is detected, even when the equipment is powered-off. This will allow users to know if equipment is moving inside or outside of geofences after hours or unexpectedly and make it easier to find the current location of assets being towed.

Vista Integration Enhancement

Our Vista Integration has been updated to sync the date of the last inspection in Tenna to the Vista equipment record.

Utilization Enhancements

For assets with an OEM/AEMP integration enabled, there is now a new configuration option to enable Site Utilization to be calculated for assets receiving updates on Hours. This enhancement will improve Utilization reporting on the Asset page and other select reports, including:

  • Daily Asset Utilization - By Site
  • Daily Asset Utilization – By Assignment
  • Project Utilization
  • Asset Utilization

ELD-Enabled Trackers

For trackers that are ELD-enabled, a call out will be visible on both the Asset Page and the Tracker Verification/Status pages in both Tenna Online and the Tenna App.

Maintenance Enhancements

We have numerous enhancements to Maintenance in this release:

Data Access Control now applies to select Maintenance Notifications including

  • Maintenance Request Status Changed
  • New Maintenance Entry
  • New Maintenance Request
  • Preventative Maintenance Triggered
  • Preventative Maintenance Reminder

The "Only Relevant" Users for New Maintenance Request Notification will now contain the mechanic of the Asset's current Site.

Asset selection is now easier when creating a Maintenance Request. Users can now search by Fleet No., Asset Name, Make, Model, Category, or Assignee to select the correct Asset.

New Work Order notifications have been enhanced to include a table of the Maintenance Requests that are part of the Work Order. This makes it easier for mechanics, shop managers, or even Site personnel to know the repair or service items included in the work order.

The Preventative Maintenance grid is now sortable by Site Name, Site Type, and Site Number. Users can also search by these Site fields.

Data Access Control Enhancements

There is now enhanced flexibility and security for Power Users with limited Data Access Controls to add, edit, and delete only the organizations to which they are assigned.

Additional Enhancements

  • New license for TennaCAM 2.0 custom profile settings
  • New pagination for idle reports, geofence enter/exit reports, as well as additional report UI/UX improvements. These enhancements optimize and improve performance for reports.
