How to Use the TennaTEST Plug-In Verification Tool
The TennaTEST is a tool to assist in the TennaMINI (plug-in versions) and TennaINTEL P1 installation process by quickly determining if your power source and ignition connections are correct.
Note: This tool is only used for TennaMINI Plug-In or TennaINTEL P1 trackers to verify power and ignition sources. This tool cannot be used with other trackers or for other uses.
Pro Tip! Use the TennaTEST before completing each installation to ensure wiring is done properly and prevent future troubleshooting.
Step 1. Turn the asset's ignition OFF.
Step 2. Un-plug the M8 cable from your tracker and plug into the TennaTEST.
Step 3. Observe the LED light behavior.
With the asset's ignition still OFF, the Battery light should shine red at this point to confirm a constant power source.
Step 4. Turn the asset's ignition ON.
Step 5. Observe the LED light behavior.
With the asset's ignition ON, the TennaTEST should have both red and white lights illuminated. A red LED light under “Battery” signifies that the battery voltage is sensed. A white LED light under “Ignition” signifies that an active ignition line is sensed
If there are no lights under either of the indicators, identify and re-test with new power sources.
