Cost Codes Overview

Cost Codes facilitates the classification of costs, track materials, and labor. Cost Codes are associated with Parts and Labor costs. Cost Codes are configurable at the account level and editing is permission based. This feature can also assist in tracking any outside labor or parts. Specific to Maintenance and Repair, utilize Cost Codes to categorize based on the components being maintained, for example, tires.

NOTE: Cost Codes is related to Maintenance, Parts, and Time Capture and is not a standalone feature or product.

Permissions Requirements: Users with the "Manage Cost Codes" permission have the ability to add to or edit any Cost Codes under account Settings.

To access the Cost Codes feature, click on "Settings" on the top right of the screen and then click on "Cost Codes".

Setting up Cost Codes

The default page displays Cost Types and three separate tiers to manage the Cost Codes. You can add two additional tiers (if desired) by clicking the + icon next to Cost Types.

To organize the tiers, drag and drop codes in any one column up or down to change their order.

To edit any of the cost codes, click on the pencil icon.
