How to View, Acknowledge, Resolve, Decline, or Delete a Maintenance Request (App)

This article shows how to view a Maintenance Request, including Maintenance Request Details Page details, as well as how to acknowledge, resolve, decline, or delete an existing maintenance request.

NOTE: Only maintenance requests with a "Pending" status can only be resolved, declined, or deleted. These actions cannot be undone. Once you resolve or decline a maintenance request, it cannot be edited or deleted.

Permission Requirements:

  • Users with the "View Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to view a maintenance request.
  • Users with the "Edit Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to resolve or decline maintenance requests.
  • Users with the "Delete Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to delete a maintenance request.

How to View a Maintenance Request

Permission Requirements: Users with the "View Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to view a maintenance request.

Pro Tip! If configured, you may quickly access "pending" maintenance requests from the Tenna App home screen by tapping the Maintenance Requests from the dashboard.

Click on "..." icon on the bottom right of the screen.

Scroll to the Maintenance section and tap "Maintenance Requests".

Select the maintenance request you want to view.

You can scroll or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the request.

How to View in Map

Filter the Maintenance Requests list.

Important! The list must show <500 results in order to select the "View in Map" button.

Pro Tip! Filter by Mechanic > "Assigned to Me" to quickly show all Maintenance Requests currently assigned to them in the map view.

Tap "View in Map".

Tap on an icon to open the details.

The number of pending Maintenance Requests will show in the details.

Tap on the share icon to copy the current address and share it with messages, email, etc.

Tap on "Find Nearest" to find the nearest assets or drivers/operators to the asset's current location.

How to Acknowledge a Maintenance Request

Users may acknowledge any maintenance requests, either individually or in bulk, to mark them a seen and communicate with the submitter that the request has been received. A notification will automatically be sent to the submitter.

Important! Once a Maintenance Request has been acknowledged, it cannot be undone.

Tap a Maintenance Request to open it.

Tap "Manage".

Tap "Acknowledge".

A confirmation message will pop up when complete.

Note: The original submitter of the Maintenance Request will be notified.

How to Resolve a Maintenance Request

Permission Requirements: Users with the "Edit Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to resolve maintenance requests.

Click on "..." icon on the bottom right of the screen.

Select "View Maintenance Requests".

Select the maintenance request you want to resolve.

You can scroll or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the request.

Click "Manage" on the bottom left of the screen.

Select "Resolve".

Complete the Resolve Maintenance Request form.

Click "Resolve Request" on the bottom of the screen.

How to Decline a Maintenance Request

Permission Requirements: Users with the "Edit Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to decline maintenance requests.

Click on "..." icon on the bottom right of the screen.

Select "View Maintenance Requests".

Select the maintenance request you want to decline.

You can scroll or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the request.

Click "Manage" on the bottom left of the screen.

Select "Decline".

Click "Yes, Decline" to confirm.

How to Delete a Maintenance Request

Permission Requirements: Users with the "Delete Maintenance Requests" permission have the ability to delete maintenance requests.

Click on "..." icon on the bottom right of the screen.

Select "View Maintenance Requests".

Select the maintenance request you want to delete.

You can scroll or use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the request.

Click "Manage" on the bottom left of the screen.

Select "Delete".

Click "Yes, Delete" to confirm.
