Gearflow (Coming Soon!)
This integration allows users to send a part request from Tenna directly to Gearflow and receive status updates for those requests.
How Does It Work?
Currently, the information links both platforms to aid in creating requests and receiving status updates.
- Request Creation: When a part request is created in Tenna, it is immediately sent to Gearflow. This streamlines the process of ordering parts and eliminates the need for manual request creation in Gearflow.
- Fulfilled Status Updates: When a part request is fulfilled in Gearflow, the status will be applied to the corresponding part request line items in Tenna.
Once items are marked as fulfilled in Tenna, a user can perform inventory adjustments to receive those items into inventory or reflect that they have been delivered.
How to Use It
- Enable the Integration: Contact your Tenna account manager to express your interest in enabling the alpha version of the integration.
- Create a Parts Request in Tenna: Follow your usual process for creating a part request within the Tenna platform.
- View and Manage Gearflow: The request will automatically be sent to Gearflow. Log into your Gearflow account to manage the request. A link to the part request in Gearflow is available on the part request detail screen in Tenna.
- Receive Updates in Tenna: Once a request is marked as “Fulfilled” in Gearflow, Tenna will update the status of the corresponding line items. You can then perform inventory adjustments in Tenna to receive the parts.
This feature has limited functionality at this time as we determine the full scope for this integration. This means:
- Limited Two-Way Sync: The only status that syncs is “fulfilled”. If a part request is updated in Gearflow with a status like “Quoted” or “PO Sent,” it won’t be updated in Tenna.
- No Part Info Sync: Information like pricing, part availability, or other details will not sync between systems.
Important! Your feedback is crucial to the development of this integration. As we aggregate your feedback, we will prioritize future features, such as additional status updates, more comprehensive two-way sync, etc.
We are eager to realize the potential of this integration and look forward to understanding your needs as we evolve with Gearflow and hearing your feedback. Contact your account manager and/or Tenna Support to provide feedback regarding the Tenna/Gearflow integration.
