Tenna Integration with Command Alkon TrackIt

How the TrackIt Integration Works

The integration is driven by a trip end event reported by a Tenna tracker, such as a TennaFLEET or TennaCAM 2.0 device.

  1. Trip End Event: When an asset's trip is completed, the Tenna tracker sends a signal to the Tenna platform.
  2. API Call to TrackIt: In response to this event, Tenna automatically calls the TrackIt API to request Pre/Post Trip information.
  3. Matching Equipment Records: Tenna uses the asset's fleet number to find the corresponding equipment record in TrackIt. The integration requires an exact match between the asset's fleet number in Tenna and the "interface number" in TrackIt.
  4. Assigning an Operator: If the data returned from TrackIt includes shift information for an employee, Tenna attempts to locate a user or contact record with the same employee ID within the Tenna system.
  5. Automated Assignment: If a matching user is found, that person is automatically set as the assignee for the asset, the recent trip, and any scorecard events generated during the trip.

This automated process eliminates the need for manual data entry and ensures that your records in both systems are consistently updated with the correct operator information.
