How to Generate HAR Files

When you report an issue to Tenna Customer Support, a team member may ask you to record a HTTP Archive (HAR) file or clear your browser cache. A HAR file is a log of the network requests your browser makes while an issue occurs, and it helps Support pinpoint the cause.

Important! A HAR file includes data such as the contents of cookies and the pages you download while you record. Anyone with access to the file can view this data, which can include personal or sensitive information. Secure HAR files accordingly.

Sending HAR Files to Tenna

1

Rename the file with a descriptive name that does not include the full URL.

By default, HAR files use the page URL as the file name, and a name that contains ".com" can look suspicious to spam and phishing filters.

2

Zip or compress the file. Uncompressed HAR files may be over Tenna attachment limits.

3

Attach the file to your ticket by email.

NOTE: For help with a HAR file or a caching issue, contact Tenna Customer Support at help@tenna.com or call 888.836.6269.
