Overview
The Edit Entries Statement View gives you a summary-style landing page for your entries. Each line represents a statement- a group of entries for a specific job, designation, and time period.
From here, you can:
- Switch between the Monthly and Weekly tabs (Monthly is the default view)
- See how many statements are available in each tab
- Open a statement to view its details or move into edit mode for that period
NOTE: A statement only appears if at least one entry exists for that job, designation, and time period.
What You'll See in the Grid
| Field | What it shows | Available in |
|---|---|---|
| Processed | A visual indicator of how much of the statement's entries have been processed | Monthly and Weekly |
| Month or Week | The statement period - either the calendar month or the week range | Month in Monthly, Week in Weekly |
| Job Number | The job identifier tied to the entries | Monthly and Weekly |
| Job Name | The job name tied to the entries | Monthly and Weekly |
| Designation | Whether the statement is for Costing or Billing entries | Monthly and Weekly |
| Entries | The number of entries in that statement | Monthly and Weekly |
| Action | Links to open the statement in view or edit mode | Monthly and Weekly |
Filtering Your Statements

Use the side filter panel to narrow your results by:
- Job Number
- Job Name
- Designation (Billing or Costing)
- Date Range returns all statements whose periods overlap your selected range
This makes it easy to find the right statement without digging through a long list of individual entries.
How to View Edit Entries
From the Jobs module, use the top navigation and select Edit Entries.

Monthly/Weekly view

Edit Entries opens to a statement list showing entries grouped by Job + Designation + Week or Month.
- Two options: Monthly (default) and Weekly
- Each row shows a Processed progress bar (visual % indicator), the Month/Week, Job Number, Job Name, Designation, and entry count
- Jobs with an Inactive category status are hidden from the statement list and filters
- DAC is applied at the entry level, not the statement level- a statement appears if at least one entry exists, but you'll only see entries for assets you have access to
Select a row to open that job/designation/period in the inline editing grid.
How to Edit the Grid
Editing is an "Excel-like" inline experience - one job, one designation, one week or month at a time.
- All-or-nothing save: changes are not auto-saved. You must click Save Entries or Cancel to commit or discard them.
- Unsaved changes trigger a browser navigation warning if you try to leave the page.
- Conflict handling: if two people edit the same entries, last save wins.
- Bulk Delete: Select multiple entries via the checkbox to the left of the entry and delete them all at once.

NOTE: Because saves are all-or-nothing, it's worth reviewing every change in a batch before clicking Save Entries, there's no partial save.
Editability by Entry Type
Not every field can be edited on every entry. What's editable depends on whether the entry is automated or manual, and what state it's in:
| Field | Automated (Normal/Waiting Approval) | Automated (Pending) | Manual (new) | Manual (existing) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Asset | No | No | Yes | No |
| Rate Type | No | No | Yes | No |
| Entry Date | N/A | N/A | Yes | Yes |
| Final Value | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
| Rate | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Notes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Cost/Billing Amount | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
Pro Tip! On automated Pending entries, only Rate and Notes can be changed - everything else waits until the period closes.
The Approval Workflow: Reviewing Changes
The approval workflow only activates when Enable Change Approval is turned on in Settings → Jobs.
- When a user without the Accept Changes permission edits an entry, the change enters a Waiting Approval state.
- Users with Accept Changes permission can open the Review Changes bottom panel from the eyeball icon on any Waiting Approval entry.
- The panel shows the Current Entry (read-only baseline) alongside all Proposed Changes; one row per change, with requestor name, avatar, and timestamp. Changed values are highlighted; unchanged fields show "No Change."
- The reviewer can Apply Change (select one proposed change via radio button) or Reject All (keep the current values).
- Applying or rejecting moves the entry back to Normal — but you still need to click Save Entries for it to take effect.
- Proposed deletions also appear in the Review Changes panel. The approver can accept (permanently delete) or reject (restore to Normal).
