Assets

View Asset Address/Location Permission

Coming August 31, 2026

Administrators can now control whether users see an asset’s last-known address and GPS-derived location in the Assets feature. The new View Asset Address/Location permission operates independently from the existing View Asset Map permission, allowing organizations to hide address details while preserving access to interactive maps—or vice versa.

The “View Asset Address/Location” permission controls the user’s ability to see the following:

Improved Low Asset Battery Alert Accuracy

✅ Released August 5, 2026

Adjusted the Low Asset Battery alert threshold from 11V to 7V to prevent temporary voltage drops during cold starts from triggering false low-battery notifications.

Why This Matters: This reduces notification noise while continuing to identify meaningful battery-health issues.

New “Ignition Off” Alert

Coming August 31, 2026

Tenna now supports Ignition Off Alerts as a dedicated notification trigger within the Trip Events section of Settings. Users can configure alerts to be sent when an asset's ignition is turned off, providing real-time visibility into equipment activity and enabling faster response to unauthorized or unexpected shutdowns.

What's new:

• A new Ignition Off Trigger option is available under Settings > Notifications > Trip Events, alongside the existing Ignition On (After Hours) Trigger.
• Users can create and manage Ignition Off notification rules, specifying the assets, recipients, and conditions under which alerts are dispatched.
• Notification history for Ignition Off events is logged and accessible via the Notification History Log.
• The Reporting Engine’s “Ignition Off Alerts Detail” can be accessed to review historical ignition off events for root cause analysis.

Advanced Asset List Export

Coming August 31, 2026

Users can now export asset list results using the current page, filtered view, or all assets as the export scope. The export reflects the columns and grid settings shown in the asset list, making it easier to share and analyze the exact results displayed.

Maintenance

Sort Open Preventive Maintenance Records by Percentage Overdue

Coming August 31, 2026

The Open Preventive Maintenance view now supports sorting by Percentage Overdue. This makes it easier to identify and prioritize services with the highest percentage of overdue usage and focus maintenance efforts where they are needed most.

Work Order Export Now Includes Work Order Numbers

Coming August 31, 2026

Work Order exports now include the unique Tenna-generated work order number in the Title field when using Export All Results. This makes exported work order records easier to identify and reconcile with work orders in Tenna.

Work Order Sections Open by Default and Remember Your Preferences

Coming August 31, 2026

Work Order sections, including Maintenance Requests, now open expanded by default when creating or editing a work order. Tenna also remembers each user’s expand/collapse selections across sessions, making it easier to access frequently used information and ensure required maintenance requests are not overlooked.

Mechanic Time Cards

Auto-Populate Job Site in Time Entries

Coming August 31, 2026

When a technician selects a Work Order or Asset on a time entry, the Site field now auto-populates based on the work order's bill-to site or the asset's assigned site. If a site was already entered manually, it is preserved.

Why This Matters: This reduces manual data entry for timesheet reviewers and improves payroll accuracy—particularly for organizations where wage rates vary by job site.

Parts

Enhanced Low Inventory Alerts

Coming August 31, 2026

Low inventory alert notifications now include the Max Quantity, Aisle, Bin, Shelf, and Row for each item. This gives users the information they need to know how many parts to reorder and where to verify the count—without navigating to a separate screen.

Deactivated Parts Now Visible in Inventory Transactions Search

Coming August 31, 2026

The Inventory Transactions modal now returns deactivated parts that still have on-hand inventory. These records display a (Deactivated) label in front of the Part Name so users can clearly identify their status.

• Subtract and Transfer actions remain available for deactivated parts, allowing teams to use up or reconcile remaining stock.
• The “Add” action is disabled with a tooltip to prevent receiving new inventory for deactivated items.

Reports

New Reporting Engine Refresh Permission

Coming August 31, 2026

Administrators can now control which users are allowed to refresh the Reporting Engine by assigning a dedicated permission. This helps organizations manage reporting performance and ensures refreshes are performed by authorized users.

Resource Management

Dispatch Command Center Bulk Actions

Coming August 31, 2026

The Dispatch Command Center (DCC) now supports bulk actions across requests, resources and dispatch events columns, enabling resource managers to process multiple items simultaneously and significantly reduce repetitive clicks.

What's new:

• Requests Column: Select multiple request cards and perform bulk Approve, Deny, or Cancel actions in a single operation.
• Resources Column: Select multiple resources (assets, laborers, or crews) and perform a bulk Transfer Site Assignment to reassign them to a new site.
• Dispatch Events Column: Select multiple dispatch events and perform bulk Send, Complete, or Cancel actions.

Bulk actions are available across all DCC views, including Master View, Dispatch Delivery, Asset Task, and Labor Task.

Dispatch Requests: Current Site Visibility

Coming August 31, 2026

The Current Site (site number and name) is now displayed directly on the Request Details side panel, positioned below the "Approved By" field. This enhancement provides dispatchers with immediate visibility into where the requested asset is currently located — without navigating away from the queue — making it easier to evaluate and prioritize asset requests, especially for organizations managing a large number of sites.

Mobile

German Language Support

Coming August 28, 2026

The Tenna App now supports German as a language option. Users can select German from their User Profile to view the app fully translated into German.

Action QR Gorilla Safety Plus Action

Coming August 28, 2026

A new "Gorilla Safety Plus" action is available for ActionQR asset actions. Quickly access Gorilla Safety Plus with a quick QR scan in your asset.

24-Hour Time Support

Coming August 28, 2026

The Tenna App now fully supports 24-hour time format. When a user's device is set to 24-hour time, all time inputs (Requests, Time Entries, Work Orders) accept 24-hour format, and all time displays throughout the app render accordingly.

Additional Asset Status Options

Coming August 28, 2026

Expanded asset status options are now available when editing disposed assets in the Tenna app:

• Disposed Rental assets support statuses such as Stolen, Lost, Rental Returned, and Other.
• Disposed Owned assets support Sold, Junked, Stolen, Lost, Lease Returned, and Other.

Overnight Time Entry Support

Coming August 28, 2026

Users can now log a single time entry that spans overnight shifts (e.g., 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM) without needing to split it into two separate entries. This streamlines time tracking for second-shift and overnight workers.
