Release Notes: October 7, 2022
Our October 7, 2022 release includes a number of improvements and enhancements, many requested by customers as we work to continually make Tenna the most effective platform for construction equipment and fleet management needs. Here's what's new!
Easier Access to Help
Each page of the TOO has a link in the top right corner to help articles specific to that topic. Now, it's easier to see all of Tenna's help content, including monthly Release Notes and recordings of TennaU Trainings. Look for the Knowledge Base link at the top of the left-hand navigation.
TennaCAM 2.0
TennaCAM 2.0 now automatically creates video events for hard braking and hard acceleration.
In addition, speeding alerts are now a configurable option for the TennaCAM 2.0:
- Speeding videos are not part of the default configuration for the camera.
- Video events for speeding are not triggered by posted speed limits. Rather, they will trigger at 75 MPH or whatever speed the user designates.
All automatic videos are available at Trip End as long as the TennaCAM 2.0 is online and powered in an area with good cellular reception. They can be found on the Trips tab on the asset's detail page.
*Note: TennaCAM 2.0 is a hardware product. Driver Scorecard (speeding alerts) is a premium software feature within Safety & Compliance.
Users can also request a custom video from the Trip page. Choose a trip, click Request Video Event, and select the time period within Trip Start and End and the required duration of the video.
IFTA Reporting Enhancements
IFTA reports will now have a custom date range option rather than just quarterly. This will simplify reporting for states that require monthly IFTA reporting. There is also a checkbox option allowing the report to show only vehicles that crossed state lines during the chosen date range.
Maintenance Enhancements
Users can now export the list of Work Orders to make it easier for reporting and other back office procedures. Choose the spreadsheet format that best meets your needs.
Add Word and Excel documents as attachments. This is particularly useful for situations such as:
- Adding internal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents or manufacturer manuals that exist as Word documents
- Adding a comprehensive parts list that exists as an Excel document
Enhanced Asset Organization Filters
When filtering assets by Organization, you can now choose Select All for Child entities when their Parent Organization is selected. Once chosen, click Deselect All to choose only the Parent Organization or specific child entities. This enhanced filter is available across the platform, including Assets, Maps, Reports, Utilization, and more.
And just like in Maintenance, users can now add Word and Excel documents as attachments. Note: Users were already able to add images and PDF files.
Additional Enhancements
- Global Asset search provides enhanced searching for assets—for example, those created in external, integrated platforms such as Vista.
- Various user interface improvements
- Report pagination and optimization to decrease loading times
- Additional improvements on dispatch events
Procore Integration Enhancements
Tenna integrates with Procore's Daily Log by automatically populating the assets that were physically at a job site (in both Tenna and Procore) along with their accurate utilization hours. This integration has now been enhanced to add configurations that allow Users to control which assets are sent from Tenna to corresponding Procore Daily Logs, even if they are not powered.
Three configuration options are available:
- Sync powered assets connected to Tenna Trackers which are capable of reporting utilization at a job site (i.e. equipment tracked with TennaMINI Plug-In trackers)
- Includes Option 1, plus Assets tracked via TennaIN AEMP / OEM integrations
- Includes Option 1 or 2, plus assets based on Tenna tracker type—regardless of their utilization. (i.e. Select all assets with TennaBLE Beacons, such as small hand tools, to be automatically synced with the appropriate Procore job site)
Mobile App Enhancements: Inspections
Reminder: Inspection History tab was added in the previous release (9/5/2022)
Now inspections in the Tenna Field App will mimic the detail page in TOO.
We've also added a new Inspection Details page:
- All past inspections are visible, regardless of the outcome.
- When submitting a DVIR for inspection, Users can add 10 photos for each flagged issue.
- Users can see all photos as part of past inspections by swiping left/right.
- Comments, when entered, will be visible for all flagged issues.
- This provides greater transparency into past issues so inspections can be completed more thoroughly.
-
Users will be able to sort by Submitter and other parameters.
Mobile Work Order Enhancements
While viewing a Maintenance Request, Users can click directly to the associated Work Order.
There are now enhanced filters for Work Orders on the app.
By default, Work Orders will sort by start date, but Users can modify the sort to be done by a number of options. ( Note: End Date is synonymous with a planned completion date for the Work Order)
Work Orders can also be viewed as completed or not completed via easy to access tabs.
Because of the high number of Users in the field, Field Notes entered via the mobile app will include the User who entered the field notes in the app and a time stamp visible in TOO for organizational transparency. Maintenance Request notes will come in as Field Notes, and each note will come in as a separate line item so there is a comprehensive log.
