How to Create a Dispatch Delivery from the Dispatch Board
Use the Dispatch Board to turn approved requests into scheduled dispatch deliveries without leaving your site view.
For more information on the Dispatch Board, see Dispatch Board Overview.
💥Dispatch is part of Resource Management which is a premium product and requires a separate license. Please contact your Account Manager for more information on premium product licenses or reach out to Customer Support at help@tenna.com or call 888.836.6269.
Permissions: To create a dispatch delivery in the Dispatch Board, users must have the EDIT Dispatch Board permission turned ON.
Secondary Permissions:
- Create Dispatch Events allows permissioned users to create dispatch deliveries for assets and labor resources
- View Dispatch Queue and Events allows users to view the Dispatch Queue and Dispatch Events pages
- 1
- Click "Resource Management" on the left navigation menu, then click the "Dispatch Board" tile.

- 2
- Locate the site card for the job or yard you'd like to send the asset or crew to.
If the request isn't tied to a site yet, check the No Site card.

Pro Tip! Use the Detail tab on the site card to see specific Requests and Scheduled items for that site.
- 3
- Click the dotted icon on the resource you'd like to dispatch and select "Create Dispatch (Delivery)" from the dropdown menu.

The Dispatch Delivery form will open, pre-populated with the selected resource. Fill in the remaining details.

- Start date and time
- End date and time, or duration
- Any required notes or instructions for the driver, operator, or crew
- Any required attachments
These details tell the system exactly when and how long the resource is dispatched.
- 5
- Review the information, then click "Create Dispatch" and choose "Create as Draft" to save the dispatch without sending, or "Create and Send" to schedule and send the dispatch.

What happens next
Once the dispatch delivery is created, the resource is scheduled for that site and will be reflected across any views that depend on scheduling, such as utilization views and calendars.
- You can always return to the Dispatch Board to:
- Adjust the dispatch using drag and drop between sites (where supported), or
- Open and edit the dispatch details if changes are needed.
Note: Use Asset Labels when selecting assets for Dispatch. These labels help identify what assets are ready and available for use.
