How to Create a Dispatch Delivery from the Dispatch Board


The Dispatch Board provides an aerial view of site activities, including permission requirements and other interactive functionalities.

The Dispatch Board allows you to request, schedule, dispatch, and view assets and laborers and crews by site, and create deliveries and labor or asset tasks.

  • Create requests, dispatch tasks, and more

You can add as many boards as you want and need. Each board can hold up to 40 sites at a time. They can be used by dispatch/superintendent teams, etc. to see what is scheduled to come to their project in the future, see what is on the project now (indicated by red utilization number). Utilized by project to date and what's coming in future. 

Configuration and Setup: When a user drags and drops an asset they can schedule or dispatch that item depending on their permissions. The day and time of that schedule or dispatch is configurable per account.

Note: Specific configurations can me managed within Settings > Configurations > Resource Management.



All Active Sites: This is a dropdown that shows the user their default and custom boards.

Create Request: Create an asset request, laborer, and/or crew request right from the dispatch board by clicking this button.

Create Dispatch: By clicking this button you can either create a Delivery, an Asset Task, or a Labor Task.

To create a Delivery click the field and you will be directed to the "Create a Dispatch Delivery" page - see below:

This will create a traditional dispatch delivery. Select an asset that will haul other assets to specific sites/locations. The dispatcher can add multiple items to the dispatch itinerary. Add an asset or a scheduled event. Upon click of this action, the dispatcher will be prompted to choose their asset or scheduled event. Once selected, that item will be added to the itinerary between the start and finish. Specific fields will populate based on the request/tracker information.


Fill out the information in the various fields above:

Dispatch Title: The user can name the dispatch they are creating.

Recipients to Notify: Select users or contacts from the dropdown that notified for this dispatch. This is optional.

Asset/Reservation: Click the field to search assets by fleet number and asset names and select the desired asset.

Trailer: Search the trailer by fleet number or asset name. This is optional.

Start: Add start date, time, location, and start site by selecting each of the fields and adding in the necessary information. Add an optional note.

End: Add end date, time, location, and end site by selecting each of the fields and adding in the necessary information. Add an optional note.

Click "Create & Send Dispatch".


To Create an Asset Task, click the "Create Dispatch" button and select "Create Asset Task" from the dropdown.

This dispatch event is task-oriented. The dispatcher will select assets and direct them where to go and when. The dispatcher has the ability to add multiple items to the dispatch itinerary. They can either add an asset or an approved request. Upon click of this action, the dispatcher will be presented with a modal to choose their asset or Scheduled request. Once selected, that item will be added to the itinerary between the start and finish.


Fill out the information above:

Dispatch Title: The user can name the dispatch they are creating.

To create a labor task click "Create Dispatch" then select "Create Labor Task".

Fill out the information above:

Crew/Laborer: Click the field to search for specific crews and/or laborers from the dropdown.

Start: Add start date, time, location, and start site by selecting each of the fields and adding in the necessary information. Add an optional note.

End: Add end date, time, location, and site by selecting each of the fields and adding in the necessary information. Add an optional note.

Click "Create & Send Dispatch".


Asset Details: When you click on any particular asset you can view the asset's schedule. This will display the asset activity and what it may be scheduled for in the future. There are multiple schedule views including week, 2-week look ahead, month, quarter, etc. Click on the "Schedule" tab and toggle between the Calendar view (legacy) and the Schedule views.
