How to Edit a User's Data Access (Desktop)

What: How to configure a user's access to data for particular assets.

Who: Power Users with the Data Access Control premium feature enabled.

There are two ways to edit a User's data access:

  1. Via the Users tab in Settings (See Step 6)
  2. Via the Data Access tab in Settings (See below)

Edit Data Access via Data Access Tab in Settings

Step 1. Select Settings in the top right corner of Tenna. Select the Data Access tab.

Step 2. Navigate to the appropriate Org Chart level to populate the list of users assigned to that level.

Users with the hierarchy icon have Full Data Access, meaning they have access to all assets regardless of their assigned Org Chart level.  The users with an "x" icon have Limited Data Access and have been given access to this particular level by a Power User.

Step 4. Select the user(s) to add to the Data Access Control group for that Org Chart level.  This is a list of all Limited Access users in your company's account.

The users should now be added to the Data Access Control group for that Org Chart level.

Remove a User from Data Access Control level

To remove users from a level, select the "x" icon next to their name.
