SMS Dispatch Messages Overview
SMS messages are specific to dispatch notifications and are sent when a dispatch event is either sent or resent. The SMS messages are sent from a third party provider to selected users to notify of the dispatch.
💥SMS Dispatch Messages is part of a premium product, Resource Management, and requires a separate license. Please contact your Account Manager for more information on premium product licenses or reach out to Customer Support at help@tenna.com or call 888.836.6269.
SMS Dispatch Notifications
When a dispatch is sent, SMS messages are automatically sent to the selected user(s) to notify them of the dispatch.
NOTE: Any individuals you are sending an SMS message to must be listed as a user with a cell phone number within the Tenna platform.
Important! Tenna is not responsible for any parties who choose to block SMS messaging from the third party service by texting "Stop". Once a user replies with the word "Stop", all texts sent will be blocked until until either "Unstop" or "Start" is sent to the third party number.

How SMS Segments Work
Each SMS message is divided into segments of up to 160 characters, with each full message using approximately 5 segments (around 950 characters). Segments may split in the middle of a word.
A third-party messaging service manages delivery and checks usage against your monthly limit:
- If the limit is not exceeded, segments are sent to the selected user(s).
- If the limit is exceeded, an error message is sent and your CAM is notified.
SMS Tiers
SMS messages are purchased by tier, providing an allotted number of messages per month:
| Tier | Monthly Messages |
| SMS Dispatch- 1000 | 1,000 |
| SMS Dispatch- 5000 | 5,000 |
| SMS Dispatch- 20000 | 20,000 |
