TESMEC Integration Instructions & Requirements

Setting up and managing your Tenna OEM Integration with TESMEC.

💥Integrations is a premium product and requires a separate license. Please contact your Account Manager for more information on premium product licenses or reach out to Customer Support at help@tenna.com or call 888.836.6269.

Setup

1

Identify the TESMEC administrator on your account.

2

Obtain your TESMEC API credentials.

The TESMEC Administrator should reach out to the TESMEC dealer to request TESMEC - AEMP 2.0 API credentials for all of your equipment. The dealership will likely reach out directly to TESMEC to obtain these.

Your credentials should be structured like this:

  • client_id: xxxxxxxxxxxx
  • client_secret : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Enabling the Integration within Tenna

NOTE: You must have a Power User identified and set up with a Tenna account to complete the following. If you are unsure who is a Power User in your organization please contact Tenna Customer Success at 888.836.6269. To add a new Power User or modify an existing user, see How to Create Users and Contacts (Desktop).

1

Click on "Settings" on the top right.

2

Click on the "Integrations" tab.

3

Select "OEM" from the Integrations landing page.

4

Enter your Client ID and Client Secret into the TESMEC window, then select Sync.

5

If this is your first integration setup, a disclaimer acceptance window will pop up. Please review and click "Accept".

NOTE: After a Power User accepts this on the company's behalf, the disclaimer will not be displayed again.

6

If the integration connects successfully, "Connection Online" will be shown on the screen.

Managing your Integration

Map Unmatched Assets

1

Select "Asset Mapping" to view a list of unmatched assets.

Most assets will sync automatically. The Asset Mapping grid will include a list of all TESMEC assets that did not match a Tenna asset.

2

Enter the PIN or search for the Asset using the Asset Name or Fleet No.

3

Select "Update" to complete.

Remove an Asset's Association to the OEM

1

Select "Manage" on the integration tile to open the Manage Sync window.

2

To remove an asset from the association with the OEM, select the checkbox under the Remove Association column.

You may select multiple assets at once.

3

Select "Update" to complete.

NOTE: If an asset is disassociated from an OEM integration and later reassociated, the system will record the next OEM data sync as an Initial OEM Sync. The user shown with the initial OEM Sync is the user who reassociated or remapped the asset to the OEM integration. This is expected behavior, even if the asset was previously associated with the same OEM integration.
