How to Create/Edit Permission Groups (Desktop)
What: Permission Groups are sets of users that share a similar set of permissions (via a Permission Code). Users can be added to Permission Groups individually, or in bulk via shared traits such as organizational level or title.
Who: Power Users, or users with permission to edit Permissions
NOTE:
Creating and editing permissions can only be done in Tenna on a desktop, not in the Tenna App.
Step 1.Select "Settings" in the upper right of the screen.
Step 2. Select "Permissions" Tab.
Step 3. Select "Groups".
Step 4. Select "Create Group".
Click the "Create Group" button displayed on the Groups screen which will bring you to the Permission Group Details screen.
Step 5. Name your Group.
Step 6. Assign Users.
Step 7. Assign a Permission Code to the group.
- Click in the Permission Code input box to display a list of available Permission Codes.
- Scroll down the list and select the code or type in the code name to auto-populate.
- Alternatively, you can use the arrows to the right and left of the Permission Code field to browse on screen.
Step 8. Click "Create Permission Group" to save Changes.
Step 1. Select "Permission Groups" on the right side of the screen under the Permissions tab.
Step 2. Click the "Pencil" icon on the Group you need to edit.
Step 4. Click "Update Permission Group" to save Changes.
Deleting a Permission Group
If a user deletes a Permission Group, any users that are part of that group will no longer have that Group's Permission Code. If this was the only Permission Group a user was a part of, the system would revert that user to the Basic Access permissions.
