How to View Notifications

Tenna offers multiple ways to receive notifications. A user receives notifications based on notification permissions as well as how they setup their notification preferences.

Permission Requirements: All users with permissions to receive notifications, or users with a relevant role related to a particular notification (e.g. a notification about an asset leaving a Geofence would be delivered to the relevant site's Superintendent or Project Manager) have the ability to receive notifications.

See How to Configure Notification Permission in Permission Codes (Desktop) and How to Update Your Notification Preferences (Desktop) for additional information.

Notifications can be received in the following ways:

NOTE: Immediate notifications are likely to be received one at a time throughout the day based on their triggers, but notifications configured to arrive in the Morning, Afternoon or Evening will be received all at once.

Email

Email notifications are sent to an individual user's email address associated with their user profile. Email notifications come from "[email protected]". Notifications may include attachments, as in the example below, or hyperlinks that will redirect you to your Tenna account.

Pro Tip! Add "[email protected]" to your safe sender list to ensure receipt in your inbox vs. your junk mail.

Push Notifications

Push notifications are sent to an individual user's mobile device that has the Tenna App installed.

Once a user has installed and logged into the App at least once, they will receive push notifications.

Clicking on the push notification will redirect you to the App to view the full notification details.

Android

iOS

NOTE: If you have an iOS device and pair it to an Apple watch, you can get push notifications on your watch as well.

Notifications can be viewed in the Message Board within a user's Tenna account on a desktop as well as in the app.
