How to View a Missed Inspection (Desktop)

View Missed Inspections to see instances of assets being operated without their required inspections completed.

Permission Requirements: Users with the "View Inspections" permission may view missed inspection reports.

You can access Missed Inspections by selecting Safety and Compliance on the left side navigation and then selecting the Missed Inspections tile.

You can also view Missed Inspections for a specific asset by going to Asset Details Page > Safety and Compliance > Missed Inspections.

The Missed Inspections Grid includes the following information:

  • Form Name: What type of inspection form was completed and submitted
  • Due Date: The day the inspection was due.
  • Ruling: This will show how the inspection was considered “missed” (as configured in the inspection form)
    • Asset Usage: This option will mark an inspection as "Missed" if the asset was used during the inspection period and no inspection was submitted.
    • Inspection Frequency: This option will mark an inspection as "Missed" if no inspection was submitted during the inspection period, regardless of asset use.
  • Frequency: This will represent the frequency as configured for that specific asset. This may differ from the default frequency associated with the inspection form (if changed at the time of assignment).
  • Fleet No.
  • Asset Name
  • Category: Asset’s major category and any subcategories
  • Organization: Asset’s organization and any sublevels as designated by the company’s Org Chart.
  • Current Site: Asset’s current site
  • Current Site No: Asset’s current site number
  • Processed Date: When the Missed Inspection check was processed
  • Site of Missed Inspection: Associated site name at the time of the missed inspection

Note: Some companies choose to hold a particular site responsible to inspect the assets that are assigned. Site of Missed Inspection gives historical context when the asset has moved on to another site.

  • Site No. of Missed Inspection: Associate site number at the time of the missed inspection
  • Assignee: The asset’s assignee name and contact information (when hovered)
  • Assignee Organization: The Assignee’s organization and any sublevels as designated by the company’s Org Chart.

The following filters are available in this grid:

  • Fleet No
  • Asset Name
  • Current Site
  • Inspection Form Name
  • Site of Missed Inspection
  • Asset Organization
  • Assignee Organization
  • Category

Pro Tip! Once filtered the way you prefer, select Save to My Filters to easily access later.

The following actions can be performed from the Inspection Reports grid:

  • View Asset: Hover over the Fleet No or Asset Name links and select the eye icon to be taken to the Asset Details page.

  • Search in Grid: Search using keywords from each data set included in the report
  • Select Date Range: Today, Yesterday, Previous Week, Previous Month, Custom
    • The default range is one week ago to today
    • Max date range is 180 days
  • Save View
  • Export
