How to View Inspection Reports: Pass, Fail, DVIR, etc. (Desktop)

How to view submitted inspection reports, including DVIR. These reports include details on the asset, inspector, results, etc.

NOTE: Inspection Reports only include submitted inspections. To view Missed Inspections, view How to View Missed Inspections.

Permission Requirements: Users with the “View Inspection Reports” permission can view inspection reports and details.

NOTE: If Data Access Control is enabled, users will only see reports for assets that they have data access to.

To view Inspection Reports, click on "Safety and Compliance" and then on "Inspection Reports".

The Inspection Reports Grid includes the following information:

  • Form Name: What type of inspection form was completed and submitted
  • Frequency: This will represent the frequency as configured for that specific asset.

NOTE: This may differ from the default frequency associated with the inspection form if the frequency was changed when assigned to the asset.

  • Submitted: Date and time the form was submitted (inspection completed)
    • This field will show in your configured time zone. If you hover over this value, it will show the Inspector’s time zone.
  • Fleet No.
  • Asset Name
  • Category: Asset’s major category and any subcategories
  • Organization: Asset’s organization and any sublevels
  • Driver/Inspector: Name and contact info (if hovered) for the user that submitted the inspection form.
  • Site No. Inspected At: The site number for where the inspection was performed (if applicable). Hover over this field to view Site Details and a map of the location.
  • Site Name Inspected At: The name of the site where the inspection was performed (if applicable). Hover over this field to view Site Details and a map of the location.

NOTE: During the time of inspection, the "site" field will default to the asset’s assigned site. However, the Inspector has the option to select from the list of active sites to change the site name inspected at to reflect where this inspection occurred and/or to have that inspection serve as documentation for a different site.

  • Total Scan Time (minutes): Duration of the visual inspection in minutes.
  • Outcome: Pass or Fail
  • Resubmitted At: If the inspection was re-submitted (failed items were fixed and the inspection was re-submitted), then this field will show the date and time that the inspection was re-submitted.
  • Resubmitted By: Name and contact info for the user that resubmitted the inspection (if applicable).

The following filters are available in this grid:

The following actions can be performed from the Inspection Reports grid:

  • Search in Grid: Search using keywords from each data set included in the report (Asset Name, Driver/Inspector, Site No, etc.)
  • Select Date Range: Today, Yesterday, Previous Week, Previous Month, Custom
    • The default range is one week ago to today
    • Max date range is 180 days
  • View: Selecting the eye icon next to the inspection will open the Inspection Report Details Page.
    • View DVIR Report (PDF): Select the file icon next to a DVIR inspection to open the DOT official DVIR Report. From here, you can download or print the form.
  • Save View
  • Print: Select one or more inspection reports (using checkbox next to Form Name) to open a print view.

Pro Tip! Select multiple to bulk print reports.
