How to Create a Site (App)

What: Creating Sites allows your company to track asset data such as location, cost, and utilization, based on the asset's site assignment. Sites and geofences helps to automate asset location updates, show asset allocation per site, and mitigate theft. Sites can be easily created in the Tenna App.

Who: Any user with the "Add Site" permission may create a Site in the Tenna App.

NOTE:

If you are trying to create a site in Tenna on a desktop, please see How to Create, Edit, and Delete a Site (Desktop).

Step 1. Press "Search" at the bottom of the app.

Step 2. Press "Sites" in the middle of the screen.

Step 3. Press the "+" orange icon on the bottom right corner to create a new site.

Step 4. Select your Site Type from the three options.

Tenna's Site Types include:

  • Project
  • Office
  • Yard

Step 5. Press the "Subsidiary" row to select an organization level to assign this Site to.

If not applicable - press "Skip".

Required fields include:

  • Site Status (active or closed)
  • Site Name
  • Start Date (if the Site Type is "Project")
  • Contract Completion Date  (if the Site Type is "Project")

Press Continue when finished to move forward.

Geofence Boundaries are required for all Sites.

You can create a geofence by searching for the site address (using the map functionality) or manually entering the site address.

  • Search address
  • Input Address

Once the address has been entered, press continue.

Step 8. Adjust the boundary by moving the map.

A circular geofence is created by default around the site address you provided.  You may move the map to adjust the boundary placement.

When the geofence is in the correct place, press continue.

Note: Geofences can be adjusted further and configured for Notifications in the Tenna web version of the platform.

Step 9. Complete the form with the remaining optional fields as applicable.

Management options depend on the Site Type. The example below shows the management positions for a Project site.

Note: Adding key management personnel to your Sites helps ensure they get the proper notifications related to that Site.

Step 10. Press "Create Site" to finish.
