TennaCANbus Tracker

TennaCANbus

Meet the new TennaCANbus – an updated way to track your heavy equipment with Tenna. Receive a greater level of data, giving you the tools to make better decisions about rentals, replacements, preventative maintenance, and resource management.

Trips and Cycles Reports - Updated!

New tracker, new data, newly designed Trips and Cycles Reports! TennaCANbus allows you to leverage both Trips and Cycles data for your heavy equipment.

  • Easily access either report from the Trips/Cycles tab in Asset Details
  • Jump from Trips data to Cycle data easily with the Trips/Cycle toggle in Map View
  • View more details in the expanded Trips side panel card that includes number of trips in the selected date range, site name included with location, “no activity” displayed when no trips occur, and the new “overnight” tag when trips begin and end on different days.

External PTO

An asset’s ECU will not report data from an after-market PTO. Luckily, the TennaCANbus has an external PTO wire that can be connected during installation to capture that after-market, external PTO data. Viewing external PTO data in Tenna will look just the same as ECU PTO.

Tracker Details Page

The Tracker Details page allows Tenna to identify health and relevant issues with specific tracking devices.

Maintenance Enhancements

Create Work Order

The Create Work Order form is even more efficient! Assign billing to job sites, adjust mechanic schedules, and add additional documents and photos.

Edit Work Order

Enjoy more flexibility when editing a work order – even completed ones! The Edit Work Order permission can now be granted to specific Permission Groups (even if they are not assigned as a mechanic or approver) for added flexibility.

NOTE: The Edit Work Order permission will be OFF by default. Users with existing access to Edit Work Orders (e.g. Work Order Approvers, Mechanics, or Creators) will continue to have editing abilities for select work orders.

Benefits include:

  • Add additional maintenance requests to completed work orders or edit other details.

NOTE: Users cannot remove existing maintenance requests, or modify title, number, or approvers.

NOTE: Does not update to integrated ERP systems.

  • Add more details, photos, and notes.
  • Fully capture repairs that were not originally included but were noticed and performed.

Benefits include:

  • Grids for field and shop details
  • Added additional details for requested miles and hours
  • Take request actions right in the flow, including creating work orders, adding to work orders, resolving, or declining
  • View assigned mechanics and any attachments or photos
  • If the request is created from a failed inspection, “Requested by” will be attributed to the responsible inspector

Maintenance Request Notifications

Maintenance Requests created from failed inspections are now attributed to the responsible inspector.

In addition to making it easier for shop managers to follow up with questions, the inspectors can now receive a notification when the maintenance request of the failed item has been added into a Work Order or resolved—making it easier and more efficient to re-inspect failed assets and minimize downtime.

Other Enhancements

  • Added site mechanics and current assignee to the asset as relevant users for status notifications
  • Added current assignee to the asset as a relevant user for new request notifications

Preventative Maintenance Enhancements

  • "Last Processing” note to show when current triggers were last evaluated so you can plan accordingly.
  • Users can now manually trigger PM services and the current trigger status is recorded. If an asset is at the shop, a PM can be triggered early to be proactive and save time. The current status of the trigger (such as hours remaining) will be recorded for future reference.

TennaCANbus Installation

Users can now install the new TennaCANbus tracker via the Tenna App!

Tracker Installation

Tracker Installation through the Tenna App has been updated to support the new Tracker Details page. Users now have the ability to add one or more installation photos during the flow, just before verification. The following photos will be required during these installation steps:

  • Enter Hours/Miles
  • Power Wiring
  • Ignition Wiring

Tenna will also capture the location at which the installation took place.

This applies to the following trackers: TennaCAM 2.0, TennaFLEET II, TennaFLEET JBUS/OBD, TennaMINI Plug-In

Custom Inspections

The Tenna App will now include custom inspections created in and assigned to assets in the Tenna web platform.

Custom Inspections can be accessed from the (+) Create Menu and Asset Details.

NOTE: The addition of Custom Inspections did not change the existing Inspections or DVIR workflows.

When selecting an asset in Inspections and DVIR, the asset list will now only include assets that are assigned a Inspection or DVIR (versus previously having to scroll or search through all assets).

Each asset in the list will now display the number of assigned inspections and the date/time it was last inspected.

Inspection Details now include the photos captured for each check item. Tap on a check item to view the attached photos/comments for the item.

The Tenna App will now capture the location the user submitted the inspection. This been added to the “Inspection Info” section of the inspection details.
