How to Add Photos and Documents to an Asset (Desktop)

What: Add photos and documents to your assets.

Who: All users with asset edit permissions.

How to Add Photos to an Asset

Add photos to your assets for easy identification. You may upload up to 18 photos per asset.

Select "Assets" on the left-side navigation.

Select the desired asset from your asset list by clicking on the asset title or "eye" icon.

Hover over the asset's photo.

If the asset doesn't have a photo, a blank avatar will appear. 

Hovering over the asset photo will display an "Edit Photo" icon.

Click on the "Edit Photo" icon.

Click on the "Upload" icon.

Select a photo for upload.

You can select a file from your computer to upload, drag and drop a photo from your computer, or enter a URL of a photo from a website.

Perform actions to any existing photos of this asset.

You can perform the following actions to existing photos:

  • Select a default photo - by clicking the star icon.
  • Crop Photo - by clicking the frame icon.
  • Delete Photo - by clicking the garbage can.

Click "Apply Updates" once complete.

How to Add a Document to an Asset

Users can add one or more PDF files to an asset. Adding documents and attachments to your assets helps keep key information and files attached to an asset for history records and quick reference.

NOTE:

The max file size that can be attached is 10 MB.

Select "Assets" from the left-side navigation.

Select the desired asset from your asset list by clicking on the asset title or "eye" icon.

Select "Edit Asset" at the top of the Asset Details page.

Scroll down to the External Documents section of the form.

Upload the desired documents.

You can select a file from your computer to upload or drag and drop a photo from your computer.

You can delete an attachment by clicking on the trash can icon.

Once all files are uploaded, click "Update Asset".
