How to Configure Low Utilization Threshold Mark (Desktop)
The Low Utilization Threshold Mark is a target percentage you set to flag assets or sites that are being underused. When an asset’s or site’s utilization falls below this threshold, Tenna highlights it as “low utilization” so you can quickly spot equipment that may be idle, oversized for the job, or ready to be reassigned or off‑rented.
Why this matters:
Setting a clear low utilization threshold helps your team focus on the worst underperformers first, so you can reduce waste, rebalance your fleet, and avoid paying for machines that aren’t pulling their weight.
Permission Requirements: Users with the "Manage Configurations" permission enabled can edit the Low Utilization Threshold Mark.
NOTE:
Utilization thresholds can only be configured on a desktop, not in the Tenna App.
- 1
- Select "Settings" on the top right of your screen. Then, click the Configurations > Utilization tabs.

- 2
- Click the pencil icon next to the Low Utilization Threshold Mark to edit.

- 3
- Adjust the Low Utilization Threshold Mark field to fit your company's needs. Then, click the check mark to complete.
Note: The default value is 35%.
