How to View Asset Utilization (Desktop)

This feature measures the active hours or miles recorded on each asset over time and compares them against the Utilization thresholds configured by your account's power user. Utilization recorded below the thresholds (under utilized) are displayed in red.

Asset utilization gives insights to the asset's usage and can shed light on whether assets can be better leveraged or whether others are truly still needed. Removing under utilized or unneeded assets from your fleet can help reduce owning and operating expenses.

Permission Requirements: Any user with the "Asset Utilization Report" permission has access to the Utilization feature, as well as seeing this information via the Utilization tab on Asset Details.

How to View Asset Utilization

1

Click "Utilization" on the left side navigation.

2

Select "Asset Utilization".

The Asset Utilization table shows a list of all engine-operated assets in your fleet and their current utilization over the past shift, week, month, quarter, year and life to date in Tenna. Utilization data is updated every four hours.

You can sort and filter this list, re-arrange or hide your columns. When you have organized your asset utilization report to fit your preference, you may select "Save View" above the table to save as your default view.

AEMP Assets

If you have enabled the AEMP Configuration to calculate site utilization for your AEMP assets, please note that reporting on AEMP assets is optional.
To view AEMP Assets in your Asset Utilization and Project Utilization reports:
1

In the Asset and Project Utilization Reports, click the "gear" icon on the far right.

2

Select the toggle to "Show AEMP Assets".

NOTE: You must do this on both Asset Utilization and Project Utilization tabs to show AEMP assets on both reports.

Important! If you have the Procore Integration, you must have these toggles selected in order to have utilization information sent to Procore.

Exporting the Data

To export utilization data, select the down-arrow icon on the top row of the table to export the data.

NOTE: By selecting any of the assets from the utilization feature using the eye icon in the grid, you will be navigated to view that asset's individual utilization on it's Asset Detail page.
