How to Configure Driver Scorecard Grading Criteria (Desktop)
What: Driver Scorecard configurations are made up of Thresholds (part 1) and Grading Criteria (part 2).
See How to Configure Driver Scorecard Thresholds (Desktop) for information on part 1.
Pro Tip! It's a best practice to have a reward and penalty plan prior to creating your thresholds, so that you assign point values that fit within your organization's Driver Scorecard framework.
Who: Power Users and Users with permissions to enter the Settings Menu and view the Safety tab.
NOTE:
Configuring the driver scorecards grading criteria can only be done in Tenna on a desktop, not in the Tenna App.
Step 1. Select "Settings" at the top of your screen.
Step 2. Select "Safety & Compliance".
Step 3. Select "Grading Criteria".
Note: All fields are required.
Grading Criteria Name
Category - you may select an entire category or drill down to select a single asset. Select the "file folder" icon next to each category name to expand it.
Thresholds - add one of more of your existing thresholds to your grading criterion. At least one selection is required. Check the boxes next to the thresholds in the list to apply them. Use the search bar or the filter panel to search and filter for a specific threshold in the list.
Step 6. Select "Set Scoring Distribution".
This button will turn orange after you have filled in all the fields on the form.
This will navigate you to the Scoring Distribution screen where you will establish point values for the scorecard grade (out of 100).
Assign a Point Value to your thresholds by using the sliders or typing a value into the Points box. The pie chart will adjust automatically based on your selections.
Step 8. Select "Update Grading Criteria".
Step 9. Review your new grading criteria added to your thresholds the Points section.
As each threshold and grading criteria are applied to your assets, vehicles that are monitored via Driver Scorecard will begin to capture and record driver performance data based on the events, thresholds and grades you configured. Driver Scorecards reflect your grading criteria for the assignees of these assets.
Example: Set the point value to reflect which category(s) are most/least important. In the example below, the emphasis is placed on Speeding and Hard Acceleration. Based on driver behaviors, adjust the scoring distribution to reflect what may be a common issue amongst your drivers.
