How to View and Acknowledge Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) (Desktop)

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are codes used to identify malfunctions in vehicles, provided by the vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU). These codes flag issues with vehicles or equipment and help the shop to understand and diagnose problems.

To learn more about DTCs, view Maintenance Overview.

Note: These will report for vehicles with TennaFLEET II (and TennaCAM 2.0) and TennaCANbus trackers.

Permission Requirements:

  • Any user can view DTCs on the specific asset level (in Asset Details).
  • Users require the Maintenance premium product license in order to view DTCs in the Maintenance or Reports grids.

💥 Maintenance is a premium product and requires a separate license. Please contact your Account Manager for more information on premium product licenses or reach out to Customer Support at [email protected] or call 888.836.6269.
