Gorilla Installation and Tracker Pairing Procedure

How to pair your tracker to the Gorilla App, important notes, and troubleshooting.

The following are instructions for pairing your asset with an installed and ELD-configured TennaFLEET II or TennaCANbus tracker with the Gorilla Safety App.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure your tracker has been pre-configured by Tenna to support ELD.
  • Ensure that your Gorilla Portal account administrator has pre-configured your user account with your settings. Have your login credentials handy for this installation. Contact Gorilla Support at (844) 636-1360 from 7am to 7pm CST with questions.
  • A single tablet or mobile phone should be used for ELD and remain in the vehicle. For Bluetooth connectivity reasons, personal devices should not be used for ELD.
  • Only one ELD session can be active in a vehicle at a time. Only the active driver can be running Gorilla Safety actively paired to the Tenna tracker in the vehicle.
  • Each Gorilla Safety ELD user should have their own login. It is recommended that each driver logs in to the vehicle’s dedicated device before driving and logs out when finished.

How to Pair your Asset and Tracker with Gorilla Safety App

1

Install Gorilla Safety Plus on your Apple or Android mobile phone or tablet.

2

Identify and inspect the asset on which you will install the tracker.

Ensure that there are no other tracker/camera installations present as these may conflict with the new ELD tracker installation. Uninstall existing trackers as necessary prior to proceeding.

3

Install the tracker to the asset and complete tracker verification following the installation instructions:

  • TennaFLEET II tracker installation
  • TennaCANbus tracker installation
4

Test the connection to Gorilla Safety Plus.

  • Turn the asset’s ignition off
  • Log in to the Gorilla Safety Plus app on your phone or tablet using credentials provided by your Gorilla Safety administrator.
  • Start the asset’s ignition. The tracker will boot up and begin to beep. Pair the app to the tracker using the Scan button on the Settings page of the Gorilla app.
5

Once paired successfully, the tracker will stop beeping. Keep the tablet/phone in the vehicle in a safe place, and keep it charged.

Troubleshooting

If you are having connectivity or registration issues, ensure there are no other devices in the vehicle with Bluetooth enabled and/or the Gorilla App running. Only the designated device for that vehicle should have Bluetooth enabled and be logged into the Gorilla App.

If you are having constant disconnection or issues with the App, a BLE reset may be needed. Contact Tenna Support at 888.836.6269 or [email protected].
