Camera Settings
TennaCAM 2.0 Fleet’s Standard Setting is optimized to capture critical events, maximize video storage space and quality, and minimize in-cab distractions. There are various Alternate Settings available to fit your needs, as well as a Custom Settings option for more flexibility. At the point of installation, cameras will arrive pre-configured based on the setting you chose during the contract phase. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.
Viewing Footage
Tenna provides several ways for users with permissions to access camera footage. See How to View TennaCAM 2.0 Footage for more information.
Video Storage and Expiration
By default, videos are saved to the cloud and are set to expire in 12 months.
Expiration settings can also be changed to six months or two weeks. Tenna recommends you update according to legal recommendations from company counsel. Expiration settings apply to all videos captured within a company’s account.
On Demand Video Retrieval
Users can make custom video requests by looking at a specific trip, choosing a date/time for a driving event and requesting a video from 1 to 5 minutes in length from the Trip Details screen. Upon requesting the video, the request will be shown, and the video will be uploaded at the earliest availability when the camera is powered and within cellular coverage.
Camera Health
Receive weekly reports for TennaCAM 2.0 Camera Health to know if there is a problem with any of your cameras.
Event Video vs. Alert Only
Tenna’s standard setting distinguishes between triggers that capture a video vs. just log an event (i.e.,
G-force)
- An Event Video will trigger a video and snapshot to record the event and save to the cloud upon trip completion. If not, videos will upload as soon as the camera is back in cellular range.
- An Event Video is separate from Driver Scorecard events, but when reviewing a driver scorecard, you can conveniently see a list of all videos recorded for that period (e.g. last week) so you can play them and get additional context on the driver’s performance.
- An Alert Only will trigger an alert (and chime, if enabled) to the driver for the event and will not capture and upload video to the cloud. Although it does not upload to the cloud, it will create records about the event.
Parking Mode
Parking Mode keeps the camera “awake” for one hour to record events while vehicles are parked.
NOTE: Parking Mode may affect vehicle battery life.
