Release Notes: February 16, 2023
Our February 16, 2023 release includes a number of improvements and enhancements, many requested by customers as we work to continually make Tenna the most effective platform for construction equipment and fleet management needs. Here's what's new!
BUT FIRST! Refresh your browser and update your Tenna App to ensure you are seeing the latest and greatest from us!
Real-Time Geofencing Alerts
Users can now set up live Geofence Alerts to be notified instantly when an asset is recognized (via tracker ping) as entering or exiting a geofence, or when an asset is within or outside of a redrawn geofence. This applies to all tracker types, including AEMP integrations, and will notify for trackers that are installed and verified.
The first location and timestamp for the asset being recognized inside the geofence will be recorded as the Entry record, while the first location and timestamp for the asset being recognized outside the geofence will be recorded as the Exit record.
Data Access Control Notifications
Users configured to receive Tracker notifications and Safety & Compliance notifications will now only receive these notifications for assets assigned to their configured Organization/Division permissions (vs. notifications for all assets until now).
For example:
John Smith is the VP of Corporate Equipment Management. He has Data Access to ALL equipment across the entire company’s operations, so he can view all 842 trackers. Greg Johnson is the Excavation Division Equipment Manager for Southeast Operations, and only has Data Access to the assets within the Excavation Division. So, Greg can only access the 42 trackers assigned to the Excavation Division.
With the new enhancements, Data Access Controls are now applied to important notifications around trackers and Safety & Compliance, so that users only get the notifications for the assets in their organizations. Per the example above, John Smith will get notified of all tracker notifications but Greg would only get those for assets in his Excavation Division.
Updated Tracker Notifications for use with Data Access Control:
- Tracker Installation Verification Successful/Failed
- Tracker Offline
- Tracker Unplugged
- Tracker Pending Verification
Updated Safety & Compliance Notifications for use with Data Access Control:
- DVIR Submission Marked as Failed
- DVIR with Issues Resolved
- Hard Acceleration or Braking
- Missed Inspection
- Speeding
- Vehicle Driven without a DVIR Inspection
Site Utilization Enhancements
Many improvements have been made to Site Utilization performance, resulting in a faster refresh rate of Utilization data for our customers. Other enhancements include:
- Utilization Reports row counts now update automatically when the AEMP display is adjusted.
- Site Utilization performance and calculations of trips spanning multiple days have been improved.
Updated Login Page
The Tenna login page has received a facelift! You will now see features, updates and important messages when you login to Tenna online. Please be sure to pay attention to these messages to see what’s new!
Preventative Maintenance Enhancements
Creating a Preventative Maintenance Package is now easier with the newly formatted form, including improvements for adding Services and Assets more easily.
Reports Enhancements
Geofence Enter and Exit Reports
Asset Category Icons are now displayed within the Geofence Enter and Exit Report for better visibility of the distinction between assets. The report also has improved page performance with pagination updates, as well as added support for Export All and Export Displayed results.
Maintenance Requests
Filters are now available for the Maintenance Requests report for a specific asset in the Maintenance tab under Asset Details.
Additional Enhancements:
- Hours and Miles Reports - Filters now persist through refresh of the Hours and Miles Report. You will also see display enhancements for error and loading messages and larger columns.
- Owned/Rental Financial Information Reports - Improvements have been made to report performance, formatting, and available filters.
- Fuel Reports - Improvements have been made to Fuel Reports display and performance of saved reports.
- Idling Report - Improvements have been made to performance. Detailed idling data will be available for assets with an AEMP Integration.
- Improved performance of Trackers feature page and notifications.
Mobile App Enhancements
Master Map Asset Clustering
Assets on the Master Map in the Tenna App will now cluster when they are within 11 meters of each other. The cluster displays the number of assets at that specific location.
- An asset can only be in a cluster if it is not running or engaged in PTO. When an asset starts running, it will remove itself from the cluster.
- Tapping on a cluster will display the assets at that location in a scrollable list.
Asset List
Sorting the Asset List by Fleet No is now supported for Android users. Other improvements have been made to the search, sort, and filter performance of the Asset List. Sorted results are consistent between the Tenna Web App and the Tenna Mobile App, both Android and iOS.
Dispatch Events
Users are now required to sign in the signature field before they can attach it to the dispatch. A blank signature cannot be attached. This helps ensure our customers are receiving the required documentation from the field.
(Note: Users have the option to make signature a required attachment to complete dispatch events)
