Assets Details Page Overview (Desktop)
The Asset Details page organizes and details all pertinent information about an asset in one consolidated location. This article reviews all data available per asset.
Permission Requirements:
- All users have access to view the Asset Details page.
- The tabs displayed depend on the asset type, user permissions, and premium licenses.
NOTE: This article is specific to the Tenna platform on a desktop. For the Tenna App, see Asset Details Overview (App).
Asset Details Header

The Asset Details header is the key asset information that remains static at the top of the Asset Details page, regardless of the selected tab.
The following information is displayed on the Asset Details header:
- Fleet Number, Asset Name, Asset Type, Asset Category, Asset Org, and Photo
- Tags/Icons: See Asset Details Tags/Icons for more information.
- Asset Labels: Shows any applied Asset Labels (if applicable).
- Click the clock icon next to the labels to see a history log of any changes to the asset's labels.
- Click the pencil icon next to the labels to add or remove labels from the asset.

- Site: The office, project, or yard currently associated with the asset.
- If the asset has an installed, verified tracker that is online, the Site will automatically update when the asset enters or exits (or is scanned inside) a Site's geofence.
- Once that asset leaves the Site's geofence and the trip or cycle ends, the site will update to "No Site".
- If the asset has an installed, verified tracker that is online, the Site will automatically update when the asset enters or exits (or is scanned inside) a Site's geofence.
Important! If the asset with a new installed and verified tracker has not yet breached (or been scanned inside) a Site geofence, the Site will remain Sandbox.
- If the asset has an installed TennaQR tracker (or no tracker), then the Site must be manually updated using the transfer action. View How to Perform Asset Actions (Desktop) for more details.
- Sandbox: If an asset does not have a tracker, the site will display as Sandbox
- Disposed: If an asset has been marked Disposed, the site will read Disposed.
Pro Tip! Click the clock icon next to the Site to view the log of manual updates to the Site.

Note: The Asset Location and Site may differ for assets with a TennaQR tracker if the tracker was scanned before a Site geofence was created or if the asset was manually transferred. View the log of manual updates as shown above to learn more.
- Location of the Asset
- Shows for Owned assets that have (or had) a verified tracker
- This will show the last known address of the asset and a timestamp
- Clicking on the blue address will open the Map View of the location
Pro Tip! Assets with installed TennaQR trackers will show the name of the user that last scanned the tracker next to the timestamp, as shown below. If the asset has an installed TennaBLE tracker that was scanned by a TennaINTEL, you will see "by TennaINTEL" in that spot.

- Asset Assignee
- Jobs: The Jobs section of the header quickly shows you if there is an assigned Billing and/or Costing Job.
- Job Automation: A gray lightning bolt shows that job automation is disabled; a green lightning bolt means job automation is enabled.

- Installed Tracker and Status (if applicable)
- Click View Details to open the Tracker Details Page.
- Click View Insights to open the Tracker Insights tab.

Asset Details Tags/Icons
You may see the following tags next to your asset or in the asset header.
Pro Tip! Hover over the tag/icon for the tooltip to appear.

Left Behind | This icon displays when an asset is left behind and when clicked, it brings the user to the secondary assets tab. |
|
|
Running | This icon displays when an asset is on and running and when clicked, it displays the live view modal. |
|
|
Maintenance Needed | This icon displays when an asset needs maintenance and when clicked, it brings the user to the maintenance tab. |
|
|
Fault Code/DTC | This icon displays when a malfunction is identified for the asset and when clicked, it brings the user to the DTC tab. |
|
|
Inactive | This icon displays when an asset is inactive. |
|
|
Action QRs | This icon displays if there are 1 or more action QRs associated with the asset and when clicked, it opens the Action QR side panel. |
|
|
No Labels | This icon will be gray with a slash if no labels are applied. |
|
|
Labels | The icon will be colored if there are labels applied. The color will match the color of the first applied label, but multiple different colored labels may be applied. |
|
|
Primary Asset | This icon displays if the asset is the primary asset in an Asset Group. |
|
|
Secondary Asset | This icon displays if the asset is a secondary asset in an Asset Group. |
Jobs Tags/Icons
The following are only shown if Jobs - Financials license is enabled and Show Billing and/or Show Costing is enabled in General Job Settings.

Billing Job | A blue ribbon will display over the Asset photo if a Billing Job is assigned to the asset. |
|
|
Costing Job | A purple ribbon will display over the Asset photo if a Costing Job is assigned to the asset. |
|
|
Both Billing and Costing Job | A green ribbon will display over the Asset photo if both a Billing and Costing Job is assigned to the asset. |
|
|
No Billing or Costing Job | A gray ribbon will display over the Asset photo if no job is assigned to the asset. |
|
|
Job Automation Off | The gray lightning bolt will display if automation is not enabled for this asset. |
|
|
Job Automation On | The green lightning bolt will display if automation is currently enabled for this asset. |
|
|
Exceptions | Various icons may display if an Exception is applied to an asset. These icons are configured in Settings > Jobs > Exception Types. |

The Asset Details tabs include the following depending on asset type, whether it's tracker is online and verified, any premium features licensed to your account, and the user's permission level:

General Information
The "General Information" tab is the default tab. The data fields fluctuate depending on the asset's category. Data fields include:
- Asset Group: If the asset is a secondary asset in an Asset Group, the group will show at the top.
- General Information: Year, Make, Model, Serial No., Product ID No (PIN), VIN, Class Code, License Plate, State of Registration, Condition, Asset Battery Voltage
- Miles/Hours: Current Miles (with option to View Log of Manual Updates), ECU Odometer Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Odometer (yes or no), ECU Hours Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Hours (yes or no) (with option to View Log of Manual Updates)
- Idle/PTO: ECU Total Idle Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Idle (yes or no) (with option to View Log of Manual Updates)
- Fuel: Fuel Level, Total Fuel Consumption (gallons), Total Idle Fuel Consumption, Total Fuel Pumped (gallons)
- Description
- Special Comments
- Specs
- Attachments

Utilization
The Utilization tab displays the asset's current utilization percentages (only for assets with a Tenna tracker that supports engine run-time OR an active OEM integration).
Utilization can be viewed for:
- Previous Work Day
- Current Week
- Current Month
- Current Quarter
- Current Year
- Life to Date (in Tenna)
- Site to Date (since assigned to current Site)
The calculator icon at the bottom of each section shows how utilization is calculated for that time period.

Financial
The Financial tab includes the financial records and data for your owned assets, which may be both static input fields, as well as dynamic calculated fields that update automatically over time.

Last Rate & Job

Note: The Last Rate & Job section will only show if the "Jobs - Financials" license is enabled. Billing and/or Costing displaying will depend on General Job Settings.
- Last Used Billing Rate: Displays the most recent billing rate charged for the asset, based on the latest entry start date.
- Last Billing Job: Last Job where a billing entry was created for the asset.
- Last Used Cost Rate: Displays the most recent cost rate applied to the asset. based on the latet entry start date.
- Last Costing Job: Last Job where a cost entry was created for the asset.
Rental Information
The "Rental Information" tab includes the financial records and data for a rental asset, which may be both static input fields as well as dynamic calculated fields that update automatically over time. Calculated fields are indicated by a * next to the field.

Cycles
The "Cycles" tab shown for assets with the category type "Equipment" that have an applicable, installed, and verified GPS Tracker. Users can view tracker-driven data about engine run time for their assets.

Trips
The "Trips" tab is shown for assets with the category type "Trucks" or "Vehicles" that have an installed and verified GPS tracker. This tab displays tracker data about engine run time.

Location History
The "Location History" tab is shown for assets with the category type "Trucks" or "Vehicles" that have an installed and verified Solar, Battery or Bluetooth tracker, tag or label. This tab displays tracker data about location pings or manual updates to keep track of where an asset has been.

Map View
The "Map View" tab shows a pin indicating the asset's current location - where the asset most recently pinged.

Secondary Assets
If an asset is the primary asset of a group, a "Secondary Assets" tab will be displayed on its Asset Details page which lists all of the secondary assets in that group. Actions can be taken for secondary assets in the group from this tab.
If the asset is a secondary asset in a group, it will instead show its group's primary asset on the General Information tab.

Schedule

The "Schedule" tab displays the asset's schedule including currently reserved site, scheduled or pending requests, dispatch events, and maintenance.

Parts

The "Parts" tab will list the parts that are associated with the asset.

Fuel

The Fuel tab shows the asset's tracker-driven fuel consumption data (based on cycles or trips) and manually-entered fuel entries. It also gives details on the asset's Fuel Type, Tank Size, Miles per Gallon, and if the asset is IFTA Compliant.

Maintenance

The "Maintenance" tab allows you to view and create Maintenance Requests, Maintenance Entries, Preventative Maintenance Packages, and Work Orders for a specific asset. You can also create all of these items from this tab.

DTC or Fault Codes
The "DTC" and "Fault Codes" tabs will appear for assets that register a Diagnostic Trouble Code or AEMP Fault Code. These instances will be summarized in a report in these tabs.
Note: DTCs will populate on the Asset Details tab (if the asset and tracker report DTCs) without the Maintenance license enabled.

Safety & Compliance

The "Safety & Compliance" tab shows inspections reports and missed inspections for DVIR vehicles and equipment. Users can click the "eye" icon to view the inspection details.

Quantity
The "Quantity" tab is applicable to assets with the category type "Consumable" and will display the current quantity of the asset as well as a history of the addition and subtraction of quantity. The quantity can also be updated here as well.
