Assets Details Overview (Desktop)

The Asset Details page organizes and details all pertinent information about an asset in one consolidated location. Users can access different asset data by switching through the Asset Details tabs. All Users may enter Asset Details. The tabs you see depend on the asset type and user permission level. 

NOTE:

This article is specific to the Tenna platform on a desktop. For the Tenna App, see Asset Details Overview (App).

Users can access different asset data by switching through the Asset Details tabs.

Users with the Edit/Update Asset permission can also edit the asset details from this page. See How to Create, Edit and Delete an Asset (Desktop) for further details.

Asset Details Header

The Asset Details header is the key asset information that remains static at the top of the Asset Details page, regardless of the selected tab.

The following information is displayed on the Asset Details header:

  • Fleet Number
  • Asset Name
  • Photo
  • Assignee
  • Site
  • Status
  • Organization
  • Installed Tracker and status (if applicable)

Asset Details Header Tags

These tags are for identification purposes only. The icons appear next to the header if the asset has a tag attached to it. Hover over the icon for the tooltip to appear.

Asset Header Tags

The icons definitions listed below are in the order of the icons above, from left to right:

  • Left Behind - This icon displays when an asset is left behind and when clicked, it brings the user to the secondary assets tab.
  • Running - This icon displays when an asset is on and running and when clicked, it displays the live view modal.
  • Maintenance Needed - This icon displays when an asset needs maintenance and when clicked, it brings the user to the maintenance tab.
  • Fault Code/DTC - This icon displays when a malfunction is identified for the asset and when clicked, it brings the user to the DTC tab.
  • Inactive - This icon displays when an asset is inactive.
  • Warranty - This icon displays when an asset is under warranty.
  • Action QRs - This icon displays if there are 1 or more action QRs associated with the asset and when clicked, it opens the Action QR side panel.

Asset Details Tabs

The Asset Details tabs include the following depending on asset type, whether it's tracker is online and verified, any premium features licensed to your account, and the user's permission level:

General Information

The General Information tab is the default tab. The data fields fluctuate depending on the asset's category. Data fields include:

  • General Information: Year, Make, Model, Serial No., Product ID No (PIN), VIN, Class Code, License Plate, State of Registration, Condition, Asset Battery Voltage
  • Miles/Hours: Current Miles (with option to View Log of Manual Updates), ECU Odometer Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Odometer (yes or no), ECU Hours Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Hours (yes or no) (with option to View Log of Manual Updates)
  • Idle/PTO: ECU Total Idle Provided (yes or no), Ignore ECU Idle (yes or no) (with option to View Log of Manual Updates)
  • Fuel: Fuel Level, Total Fuel Consumption (gallons), Total Idle Fuel Consumption, Total Fuel Pumped (gallons) 
  • Description
  • Special Comments
  • Asset Group (if applicable) 
  • Specs: Option to add link to Spec Sheet and/or Online Maintenance Manual
  • Attachments: Option to add documents

NOTE:

When additional feature (premium or other new features) are added into your company's account, you may see additional tabs on the asset details page.

Utilization

The Utilization tab displays the asset's current utilization percentages (only for assets with a Tenna tracker that supports engine run-time OR an active OEM integration).

Utilization can be viewed for:

  • Previous Shift 
  • Current Week 
  • Current Month 
  • Current Quarter 
  • Current Year
  • Life to Date (in Tenna)
  • Project to Date (since assigned to current Site)

The calculator icon at the bottom of each section shows how utilization is calculated for that time period.  See Utilization Overview for further information.

Financial

The financial tab includes the financial records and data for your owned assets, which may be both static input fields as well as dynamic calculated fields that update automatically over time. Calculated fields are indicated by a blue calculator icon. To view details on the data fields for each calculation, hover over the blue calculator icon. 

NOTE:

It is recommended that you fill in these data fields for the most accurate calculations. If required fields are excluded in certain formulas, these calculations will not display. 

Rental Information

The Rental Information tab includes the financial records and data for your rental assets, which may be both static input fields as well as dynamic calculated fields that update automatically over time. Calculated fields are indicated by a * next to the field. 

NOTE:

It is recommended that you fill in these data fields for the most accurate calculations. If required fields are excluded in certain formulas, these calculations will not display. 

Cycles

The Cycles tab is applicable to assets with the category type "Equipment" that have an applicable, installed, and verified GPS Tracker. Users can view tracker-driven data about engine run time for their assets.  Grid View shows a log of cycles within a selected time period. Users can select the "eye" icon  in Grid View to view specifics of a single cycle. This information can be sorted, filtered, and exported. Map View shows a heat map of cycles within the selected time period. 

Selecting the "eye" icon for a specific cycle will give the following information: 

  • Start/End Day and Time 
  • Start/End Site 
  • Start/End Location
  • Duration 
  • Total/Cumulative Hours
  • Assignee
  • Heat Map and Geofences

Trips

The Trips tab is applicable to assets with the category type "Trucks" or "Vehicles" that have an installed and verified GPS tracker. This tab displays tracker data about engine run time. 

This tab is visible both in a Grid View or a Map View detailing the data on trip length, duration, idling, and driver violation events (related to the safety & compliance feature).

This will give you total information on each single trip such as:

  • Start/End Time 
  • Start/End Site 
  • Start/End Location
  • Driver/Operator/Assignee
  • Duration 
  • Fuel Consumption
  • Idling Duration
  • Violation Count/Events 
  • PTO (Grid View)
  • Trip Miles (Grid View) 
  • Cumulative Miles (Grid View) 
  • ECU Odometer Available / Ignore ECU Odometer (Grid View) 

This tab may be sorted, filtered and exported.

Location History

The Location History tab is applicable to assets with the category type "Trucks" or "Vehicles" that have an installed and verified Solar, Battery or Bluetooth tracker, tag or label. This tab displays tracker data about location pings or manual updates to keep track of where an asset has been. 

This tab is visible both in a Grid View or a Map View. Grid View can be sorted, filtered, and exported.

Map View

The Map View tab shows a pin indicating an asset's current location - where the asset most recently pinged.

Secondary Assets

If an asset the primary asset of a group, a Secondary Assets tab will be included on its Asset Details page which lists all of the secondary assets in that group. Actions can be taken for secondary assets in the group from this tab, similar to those available on the Assets>Group View>Secondary Assets tab. If the asset is a secondary asset in a group, it will not show a Secondary Assets tab on its Asset Details page. Instead, it will show its group's primary asset on the General Information tab.

Fuel

The Fuel tab shows the asset's tracker-driven fuel consumption data (based on cycles or trips) and manually-entered fuel entries. It also gives details on the asset's Fuel Type, Tank Size, Miles per Gallon, and if the asset is IFTA Compliant. 

NOTE:

The Fuel tab is only available for users with the Fuel license enabled.

Reservations

The Reservations tabs shows the asset's schedule including currently reserved site, scheduled or pending requests, dispatch events, and maintenance.

Maintenance

The Maintenance tab allows you to view Maintenance Requests, Maintenance Entries, Preventative Maintenance Packages, and Work Orders for a specific asset. You can also create all of these items from this tab.

DTC or Fault Codes

The DTC or Fault Codes tabs will appear for assets that register a Diagnostic Trouble Code or Fault Code.  These instances will be summarized in a report in these tabs. 

DTC Codes will appear for vehicles with TennaFLEET or TennaCAM trackers. 

Fault Codes will appear for equipment using OEM Telematics from Caterpillar, John Deere, and Komatsu. 

NOTE:

The DTC and Fault Codes tabs are only available for users with the Maintenance license enabled.

Safety & Compliance

The Safety & Compliance tab shows DVIR Vehicle and Equipment Inspections.  Users can select the "eye" icon to view the Inspection details.

Quantity

The Quantity tab is applicable to assets with the category type "Consumable" and will display the current quantity of the asset as well as a history of the addition and subtraction of quantity. The quantity can also be updated here as well.
