- Create new forms for special use cases, specific projects or job sites, certain types of assets, state or local requirements, and more.
- Enforce mandatory fields to get the data needed.

Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)
Permission Requirements: Users with the âSubmit Inspectionsâ permission can submit inspections. Users with the âManage Inspectionsâ permission can assign an inspection to an asset or category.
Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) are required by federal regulations for on-road trucking operations and are a valuable standardized safety practice for contractors with service vehicles and heavy trucks. These are one type of Inspection in Tenna.
DVIR options include:
- Vehicle Inspections: Visual and mechanical inspections of a vehicle, applicable to Category Types "Vehicle" or "Truck".
- Trailer Inspections: Visual and mechanical inspections of a trailer, applicable to Category types "Equipment" and "Attachment".
- Driving Only: Designed for users to assign themselves to a vehicle without needing to complete an inspection form. This option is not monitored or reported beyond updates to the Assignee field whenever a user identifies themselves as the âDriverâ for that vehicle.
When implementing the Safety & Compliance feature, users assign their assets eligible for DVIR with a DVIR type and configure the number of QR codes required to complete the inspection. See How to Assign or Un-Assign an Inspection to an Asset or Category (Desktop) for additional information.
When completing an inspection, the driver uses the Tenna app to scan QR codes placed around the vehicle and mark each aspect of the visual and mechanical inspection as "Safe" or "Needs Attention". This inspection data is then stored for record keeping. Any failed aspects of the inspection are submitted to the Shop for attention.
See Inspections Overview and How to Submit a DVIR Inspection (App) for additional information.
Inspection Reports
Permission Requirements: Users with the âView Inspection Reportsâ permission can view inspections. Users with the âSubmit Inspectionâ permission can submit inspection reports for assets.
The Inspection Reports page allows you to view all submitted inspection reports and their details. This includes Tenna Default Inspections, DVIR, and Custom Inspections (if enabled). Users may also start and submit an inspection from their desktop on this page.

Permission Requirements: Users with the âView Inspectionsâ permission have access to this summary screen.
The Missed Inspections page allows you to view instances of assets being operated without their required inspections.
See How to View a Missed Inspection (Desktop) for additional information.
TennaCAM
Permission Requirements: Users with the âTennaCAM Videosâ permission can view TennaCAM road and cab facing videos.
The TennaCAM screen gives you the ability to view all TennaCAM safety recordings and live stream footage.
The TennaCAM 2.0 is ideal for monitoring on-road safety incidents and driver behavior by providing footage of accidents or harsh driving events for trucks and vehicles in your construction fleet.
See TennaCAM 2.0 Overview and What to Expect and How to View and TennaCAM 2.0 Footage (Desktop) for additional information.
Driver Scorecard
Permission Requirements: Users with the âView all Driver Scorecardsâ permission can view scorecards for all users and company averages. Users with the âManage Scorecardsâ, âManage Grading Criteriaâ, and âManage Thresholdsâ permissions can manage and edit the grading criteria.
Tennaâs Driver Scorecard feature leverages telematics technology to identify driver performance data enabling contractors to view and analyze behavioral trends for improvement in fleet safety.
Driver Scorecards are the performance records of each of your drivers based on the data received from a tracker for each trip they complete with their fleet asset. Driver scorecards show you trends across your company and individual drivers based on their driving behaviors.
The Drivers Scorecard screen allows you to view your companyâs average score as well as a list of drivers and scores.
See Driver Scorecard Overview and How to View Drivers Scorecards (Desktop) for additional information.
