How to Set Up the Safety & Compliance Feature (Desktop)

When a new license for Safety & Compliance is added, there are several steps your Power User will need to take to integrate the new feature into your account.

Permission Requirements: Power Users are responsible for setting up features into your account. Other users may also have access to set up the account depending on their permissions. Specific permission requirements are listed below.

Set Permissions by selecting "ON" for each Permission Group that your relevant users are a part of.

Permission Requirements: Power Users and users with the "Permissions" permission have the ability to set permissions for users.

NOTE: Power Users should be familiar with basic permission setting skills to effectively implement a new feature. Appropriate help content is referenced throughout this article.

Set Notifications by selecting "ON" for each Permission Group that your relevant recipient users are a part of.

Permission Requirements: Power Users and users with the "Permissions" permission have the ability to set permissions for users.

Configure each notification based on your company’s needs, including Frequency, Delivery Method and Relevant Recipients.

Configure Driver Scorecards (if applicable) by setting up Thresholds for driving behaviors and violations.

Permission Requirements: Power Users and users with the "Manage Grading Criteria" and "Manage Thresholds" permissions have the ability to set permissions for users.

Once Thresholds are set, set up related Grading Criteria that should deduct or add points to each driver's scorecard as a result of each driving event or violation.

Configure DVIR for your Assets (if applicable) by assigning an inspection to a specific asset or category that you would like to require an inspection for.

Permission Requirements: Users with both the "Edit Asset" and "Manage Inspection" permissions can make inspection-related edits to individual assets.

Configure IFTA for your Assets (if applicable) by marking that asset as IFTA-compliant.

Permission Requirements: Users with the "Add Asset" and "Edit/Update Asset" permissions can mark an asset as IFTA-compliant.
