Step 1. Identify an appropriate mounting location.
This should be somewhere inside the cab, on the dashboard, but not obstructing the driver’s view. Do not install the monitor outdoors (or where moisture may land on the monitor within the cabin).
Step 2. Identify the appropriate mount that best fits your installation location
Duck Foot Mount (STSDF1000) or U Bracket Mount (STSU1005).
Step 3. Attach the monitor to the preferred mount.
You may also install the optional sunshield.
Step 4. Mount to the chosen location using appropriate screws for your application.
Step 5. Find a good ignition source and a clean, solid ground connection.
Step 6. Run the monitor’s harness (STSM351PHAR) to the identified ground and ignition sources.
- Connect the monitor harness’ ignition wire (red) to the identified ignition source.
- Connect the monitor harness’ ground wire (black) to the identified ground source.
NOTE: The green and white wires on the monitor harness (marked "Trigger") are not used. Cut off any exposed wire strands. Tape wire ends and tie securely back out of the way.
Step 7. Locate the previously installed DV607 Converter Box (likely installed under the dashboard or the rear wall of the cab).
Run the remaining connections of the Monitor's harness (marked "C1" and "C2") to the DV607.
Step 8. Remove the TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera’s video cable (STSH345) connected to the “Video In” port.
Step 9. Plug the TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera video cable (that you just unplugged from the DV607 Converter Box) into the female connector (H) of the provided Y Cable (STSH496).
Step 10. Plug one of the male connectors (J) of the Y Cable (STSH496) to the “Video In” port of the DV607.
Step 11. Connect the other male connector (J) of the Y Cable (STSH496) to the “C1” video cable connection on the Monitor’s Harness (STSM351PHAR).
Important! Ensure you connect the Y cable (STSH496) to the "C1" video connection of the monitor’s harness so that the feed shows up on the correct channel/source.
NOTE: The “CAM2” video cable connection on the Monitor’s Harness will not be used.
Step 12. Turn the asset’s ignition on and start the engine.
Let the TennaCAM 2.0 (DV6) camera boot up completely. Then, turn on the monitor to ensure it is functioning properly.
Note: The monitor will need to be turned on by pressing the power button on the monitor for the initial boot up. Once turned on, the monitor will turn on and off via the asset’s ignition. No need to push the power button every trip.
Step 13. Ensure all connections are tight, connector lock nuts are fastened tight, and wires are secured out of the way and away from moving parts.
The monitor installation is complete.
