Net Working Hours Report (Desktop)
The Net Working Hours reflects accumulated hours, accumulated idle hours, and net working hours for the selected date range for assets with the category trucks, vehicles, and/or equipment.
This report gives you an accurate and reliable picture of your asset’s productivity, as it calculates Net Working Hours by subtracting idling hours from run time.
Important! This report does not include tracked assets without trip/cycle reporting (i.e., asset’s with a TennaMINI tracker will not populate in this report, because it reports ignition on and off states but not when an asset is actively running or idle.)
Important! Heavy Equipment Idle Time can be captured by TennaCANbus tracker directly from the ECU if available at the individual asset level. Assets which do not report Idle Time via their ECU may not have Idle Time data but will have Hours data.
Permission Requirements:
- Users must have the Asset Hours permission enabled to view this report.
How to Run the Net Working Hours Report

- There are two ways to easily access the Net Working Hours Report:
Click Reports in the left side navigation and then select Net Working Hours Report (under the Performance reports section).
Or, click Reports in the top global navigation menu, then select Performance, then Net Working Hours Report.

- Select a date range for the report.
Future dates are not available.
The maximum selectable range is 365 days.
The default range is ‘One month ago’ to ‘Today’.

- Organize the report for your needs.
Sort, filter, choose settings, and add/remove/re-order columns to organize the report for your needs.

- Save or Export the report.

Sample Report - Overview of Net Working Hours Report Fields
The Net Working Hours Report grid includes the following columns:
- Asset Category (Major and Subcategories)
- Organization (Up to 3 Sublevels)
- Asset Details
- Fleet No.
- Asset Name
Pro Tip! Hover over Fleet No. or Asset Name to open a pop-up to preview Asset Details information. Select the eye icon to be taken to the asset’s Asset Details page.

- Designation (Owned, Rental, Disposed)
- Current Site
- Hours Accumulated: The total accumulated hours within the date range selected.
- % Idle: The percentage of the Hours Accumulated that were Idle Hours.
- Idle Hours Accumulated: The total accumulated idle hours within the date range selected.
- Net Work Hours: The total number of hours the asset was “working” (not idle). Accumulated Hours for the selected date range minus the Accumulated Idle Hours for the selected range.

Net Working Hours Report Filters and Settings
To access filters or settings, click the buttons on the right side of the report.
The following filters are available for this report:
- Asset’s Make/Model
- Asset’s Category
- Asset Year
- Asset Status
- Current Site
- Net Work Hours (input a range of starting and ending value to filter results)
- Hours Accumulated (input a range of starting and ending value to filter results)
- Accumulated Idle Time (input a range of starting and ending value to filter results)
The following Settings are available for this report:
- Show or Hide AEMP Assets
- Note: not all assets reporting OEM data include Idle Hours.
- Hours Format
- Turning the toggle off (gray) will show hours data as XXXh, XXm, XXs
- Turning the toggle on (orange) will show hours data rounded to a decimal
