FAQ
When does the TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera record?
The aux camera will record when the TennaCAM 2.0 records, i.e., when the asset’s ignition is ON or the camera is in Parking Mode.
Video events triggered by the TennaCAM 2.0 will be captured and uploaded to the cloud and will include footage of the Auxiliary Camera (Channel 3).
Any custom video request will also include footage of the Auxiliary Camera (Channel 3).
Will the TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera create alerts and trigger events?
No. The TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera is not equipped with A.I. technology, meaning that it will not identify, trigger, or alert driver events, like distraction, yawning, phone use, etc. The aux camera is simply another channel and will only provide an additional viewing point to primary TennaCAM 2.0 events.
What is the driver event/panic button? How long will it record?
The driver event/panic button is located on the front of the camera. Drivers can push the button at any time to record a 10 second video. The video will capture the 6 seconds before the button was pushed and 4 seconds after.
Why is my TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera not recording?
There are a few reasons why your TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera is not recording videos. View Tracker Troubleshooting Guide for more information.
Is the TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera a back-up camera?
No. The camera is not equipped with A.I. or in-cabin alert technology, therefore it will not “beep”, alert, or guide the driver when backing up.
If an optional monitor is purchased and installed, the driver or operator will be able to view the aux camera channel feed while in cabin, which could be showing rear activity if installed in that direction. This would provide a convenient viewing angle for even safer operation of the vehicle.
How do I view TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera footage?
Follow the instructions for accessing TennaCAM 2.0 Camera Footage. Once an aux camera is successfully installed, users can view aux footage in Channel 3.
NOTE: Viewing the Live Stream of the camera footage is only available in Tenna online (from your web browser), not the Tenna App.
Does TennaCAM 2.0 Auxiliary Camera require another cellular connection?
No. The Auxiliary Camera is wired directly to your existing or new TennaCAM 2.0, and therefore does not require an additional cellular connection.
Will adding a TennaCAM 2.0 Aux Camera effect video storage?
Additional footage from the 3rd channel will result in larger video files, reducing the video storage time of the SD card by about 1/3 (from 70 hours to 48 hours - for a Standard Settings Profile).
