How to Adjust TennaCAM 2.0 Fleet Alignment for Seatbelt Detection

In order for the TennaCAM 2.0 Fleet to properly detect a driver’s seatbelt being used, the camera’s Channel 2 (cabin facing camera) must be aligned correctly. Follow the directions below to ensure seatbelt events are captured properly.

Driver Positioning in the Video Frame

As depicted in the image below, the driver’s head and face should be aligned to the top half of the viewable area, and the driver’s shoulders and chest in the bottom half of the viewable area. Most importantly, for accurate seatbelt detection, the driver should be horizontally centered as much as possible.

Below are two examples of improper alignment.

In the above image, the driver’s head is not fully in the top half of the viewable area.

In the above image, the driver is positioned too far to the right of the viewable area.

How to Adjust the Camera Angle

1

Start the vehicle's ignition and allow the camera to boot up.

2

Login to your Tenna account.

3

In Assets, search for your vehicle.

4

The vehicle should show up as live and online. Select the television icon to open the camera feed.

5

In the Map View, select the drop-down to select Channel 2.

6

While sitting in the front seat, adjust the camera angle to ensure the view of the driver meets the recommendations described above.

Use a T20 Torx wrench to loosen the center mounting bolt on the camera to rough adjust the angle and ensure the camera is level.

Then, if necessary, use a T8 Torx wrench to fine adjust the camera lens up or down.

7

Once the angle is adjusted, tighten the mounting bolt so that the camera does not move.
