Action QRs Overview
Action QR labels and tags improve efficiency on the jobsite by providing quick access to particular actions that are often performed in the field. Tenna offers multi-color or single color label sheets or a more rugged, aluminum tag option to fit your use case.
Action QRs are Tenna-specific QR codes that can be scanned to complete tasks, such as inspecting equipment, submitting DVIR, creating a maintenance request, requesting an asset, assigning an asset, grouping assets, adding inventory parts to a work order, etc.
Important! Action QR codes can only be scanned in the Tenna App on your mobile device or tablet, not from your desktop or laptop.
Permission Requirements:
- Users must have the Tenna App downloaded and be signed in to use Action QR labels.
- No permissions are required to scan an Action QR code.
- Permissions and licenses will apply to the assignment of actions and the use of actions. View the Available Actions below to see what permissions are related to specific tasks.

Functionality
- Action QR labels and tags are adhered to an asset or part to provide immediate access to feature flows, actions or forms in the Tenna App.
- Your organization can configure which actions to assign to the label based on common repetitive tasks like "reassign operator or driver" in your company where you want to save time.
- End users, such as drivers or operators, scan the Action QR label that quickly takes them to the specific action in Tenna.
Best Practice! The multi-colored Action QR label sheets are helpful for organizations that are using multiple actions.
For example, all " Perform Inspection" Action QR labels could be yellow, while all "Create Fuel Entry" actions could be green.
Note: The following are important details about action QR features and functionality:
- Only one entity (Asset or Inventory Part) and once action can be assigned per Action QR label
- An Asset or Inventory Part can have multiple Action QR labels
- Access is exclusive to Tenna mobile users
