Before Installation

- Identify the best mounting location for the tracker – always best with a clear view of the sky!
- Move the asset to the outdoors before installing. This assists with cellular coverage connection and establishing a good GPS lock.
- Completely uninstall and previously used telematics hardware and all associated wiring before installing a new tracker.
During Installation
- Cable management is VERY important! Clean and secure wiring gives the tracker a longer life expectancy and less issues during operation.
- Avoid cutting or splicing asset wiring.
- Take detailed and clear photos when requested in the Tenna App installation flow. These are vital to troubleshooting in the future.
- Additional recommended installation photos include: All 4 corners of the asset, Serial No/VIN, License Plate, inspection QR codes, etc.
- Don’t permanently mount the tracker until Tracker Verification is complete. This helps in the event that the tracker cannot be verified and needs to be moved or unplugged for troubleshooting.
- Also on Tracker Verification, pay close attention to the details on the Tracker Verification page. Utilize Tracker Verification troubleshooting for any issues. Also, try moving the asset to a different location to verify.
After Installation
- Ensure you plug in everything that may have been unplugged during your install.
