Before Installation

During Installation

  • Cable management is VERY important! Clean and secure wiring gives the tracker a longer life expectancy and less issues during operation.
  • Avoid cutting or splicing asset wiring.
  • Take detailed and clear photos when requested in the Tenna App installation flow. These are vital to troubleshooting in the future.
  • Additional recommended installation photos include: All 4 corners of the asset, Serial No/VIN, License Plate, inspection QR codes, etc.
  • Don’t permanently mount the tracker until Tracker Verification is complete. This helps in the event that the tracker cannot be verified and needs to be moved or unplugged for troubleshooting.
  • Also on Tracker Verification, pay close attention to the details on the Tracker Verification page. Utilize Tracker Verification troubleshooting for any issues. Also, try moving the asset to a different location to verify.

After Installation

  • Ensure you plug in everything that may have been unplugged during your install.
  • Tenna recommends adding our suggested Tracker Preventative Maintenance Checklist to your already regularly scheduled asset maintenance program.
  • Utilize the Tracker Troubleshooting Guide and Tenna Tech Support.
